Shield between guests and staff in main contact areas
Used as a local hotel near the village of Silverstone for three nights. We were not interested in the spa facilities so can offer no views on those aspects.
As a hotel, it is large and involves a lot of walking both outside and inside.
Our room and bathroom was very well sized, though we had a plumbing problem which was attended to.
Very clean well presented
Clean
Just an overnight stay but will be back
Big hotel which is kinda lost it's soul
our first room was disgusting and not disabled friendly got moved to another room and all i need to say is that i wont be returning bk there
Understaffed and tired property.
Food pretty poor.
Great facilities and friendly staff
Not only did the fire alarm go off twice in middle of night false alarm - I can cope with the they were vacuuming outside my room before 7 am on a weekend outside our room
Rooms are a bit tired and no aircon but comfy and clean and not expensive. Bar service and food very good and you can only rate service if something is bad. Our room was above a coffee bar which sublets space from the hotel and normally closes at 4.30 who had a birthday party starting just as we were going for dinner, noise was terrible. Mentioned to reception wjo moved us straight away with no fuss at all
I stayed for one night with my daughter. We eat in the bar area, which on the Saturday evening was more akin to a Wetherspoons than a four star hotel. The only difference being the cost of the drinks which was extortionate. I was also surprised to see so many guests wondering around the reception and bar area in robes, clearly having come from the spa. The room was nice enough and I slept well, but for the cost I will look else in future
Stayed a few nights as we had a wedding nearby. I only paid for bed and breakfast but that gave us access to their leisure facilities. They have a huge well stocked gym, swimming pool, steam room and sauna. The spa guests have their own facilities so there was plenty of space. Food was fantastic. Would recommend this to all.
Would've rated this as excellent thoughout as the room was sizeable, breakfast options were plentiful and Silverstone bar area and food was good. Also the pool jacuzzi and sauna area was lovely albeit prices for hot drinks was excessive in our opinion. However, I have to rate 1 star less throughout for 2 things that occurred. The hair dryer in our room quite literally blew up in my hand and whilst this was replaced relatively quickly after my husband had to go down to reception to inform them it should never have happened, as electrical appliances should be Pat tested. The hair dryer hadn't been since 2023 according to the label. Additionally, the shower drainage in our room was exceptionally poor and whilst we were told maintenance would fix it, this never happened. These negative issues are such a shame as not only are they avoidable the hotel and staff are actually lovely and offer a great deal at relatively good prices.
We had a room in the annexe and it was extremly disappointing. The room was very old and worn. There were lots of dirty marks on the walls, the glass table top was cracked, 'leather' headboard was all cracked and peeling, the hook on the bathroom door was broken, the towel rail didn't work as the control knob was broken. Gap under the door let in lots of light and noise from other guests so we had to put the frayed cushions off the bed on the floor to block it. The room was dark and dingy due to bulbs not working. Fridge in the room was noisy but couldn't be turned off as it was wired straight in. No chair at the dressing table. Breakfast was ok. Evening meals in the Silverstone bar were not great. This hotel looks great from the outside, but didn't deliver.
The whole experience was exceptional. This is the biggest hotel I've stayed in. The bar was very cosy and the walls are covered in motorsport memorablia which was really cool. Food and drink were top notch. Room was spacious and comfortable and to finish, walking around the grounds, especially as the Silverstone racetrack is nearby was very enjoyable...
Lovely and relaxing
Excellent value
Clean but looking very dated. Padocks - beds very tired
massive conference hotel, pretty shabby and tired, but is was cheap and 1/2 way to my destination so it was fine and value for money
My room in the annex was to me below standard, bed was very comfortable, other than that the room was sub standard.
