We had been staying in the east which was almost three hours away so after looking at reviews , chose this for convenien

great appreciative break from life.
Pros:

Cleanliness, room was spotless.
Air Conditioning, originally set at 16 (too cold), changed to 22 (perfect)
Staff, all staff from Royal Jacks, Restaurant, Housekeeping, Security and Reception were great, always smiling and attentive.
Extras such as nail salon and masseurs appreciated.

Cons:

Only issue were some guests were not considerate of other guests with their loud music etc, Security did keep them under control when they overstepped boundaries (loud music before lunch etc.)

Cons:

Drunk patrons at poolside swim up bar getting progressively louder starting at 10am and going strong until at lest 10pm 3 out of 4 nights we were there.
The spa was of poor quality - looked messy and staff unprofessional
Also didn’t like the local drug dealers who sat outside the hotel driveway every day. Security just watched them didn’t do anything else.

Pros:

We had a really good stay. The hotel had just the right holiday ambience—not too busy or overwhelming, but lively and welcoming enough to make you feel like you’re truly on vacation. The atmosphere was one of the things I enjoyed most about the stay.

If you want party 24/7 then this is the hotel for you

Cons:

Party hotel loud music all day and night, people yelling and screaming, staff doesn’t seem to care. Room had major leaks and the staff just do a quick fix then it leaks again.. bathrooms have a sewage smell even after a clean.

Unfortunately we did not enjoy our stay. The property itself is showing its age and needs some proper updating. The music from the pool bar was very loud. It started at about 10am to 8pm. Also construction on the property next door started at 9am to 6pm every day. Constant hammering and loud music from the pool bar was very stressful. Also very dusty, nothing felt clean as everything had a film of dust on it.

Convenient & Friendly but no thrills
Pros:

Staff were amazing and so helpful with our request for a late checkout despite being fully booked. Location is great.

Cons:

No where to sit and relax in the room, just the bed or a seat with no back. Bathrooms on our 2nd stay where better as they had the hand held shower, first stay only had the rain head and these are not ideal for when you don’t want to wet your hair. We had twin beds pushed together, this was ok, but the beds were made with 2 doonas rather than one large one, if possible, one large one would be more ideal.
