This hotel needs a real hotel manager to do a surprise visit and have the staff not know who they are because the front desk staff was very rude, almost aggressive, especially Netta.
The website lists a mulitude of amenities. Upon arrival, the entranceway and lobby were dirty. The floor we were given has no dryers for the personal laundry. The tv did not work and kept the circle on it saying to try later. We called immediately to ask for help and was told she would be up to take a look at the tv and never called back or came up. Room 212 has a cracked sink and the toilet runs constantly with a smell of stale cigarettes in the room. There is a sign on the entranceway that the pool is inoperable.
So, amenties we paid for and was expecting to use and advertised were inoperable or not available to us, and the staff members were not compassionate or helpful or willing to help at all.
We are seeking a refund. Trip Advisor offered $14 for the pool not working AFTER the front desk lied and said it was working. I asked the same rep to call back and ask about the sign on the door. Then she offered the $14 because front desk had to admit that part.
Knowing the booking was third-party, we need the hotel to say yes to the refund so we can get Trip Advisor to issue it. Netta, front desk, says, "You booked through a third party. Nothing is going to happen and my manager will not help yall." She even told Trip Advisor that the hotel was fully functioning, and we are lying.
This was one of the worse experiences ever while traveling the 50 states. Will never go back to Microtel by Wyndam in Williston, ND and will write several reviews not recommending it.
The proximity to Walmart and Doc Holidays.
It wasn’t clean, the sheets needed to be replaced, the toilet didn’t flush, the shower rod was broken, the bay window seat was very stained and dirty. The air conditioning was on the end of its life - loud.
All of these concerns were shared with the front desk. There was no compensation, no call back from the manager or anything to address the issues.
The room was expensive - the pool was closed and the breakfast was mediocre.
I’m not one to complain or post negative reviews but they were all shared with the property.
I’d definitely look at other hotels in the city before you book this one.
Was charged an extra $150 just to stay, had to pay with two different cards, Not a huge deal but definitely annoying. The shower head sprayed everywhere and had no pressure, water has been leaking for a long time, the wall around the shower was soft and the paint has been peeling for a while now. A/C unit worked but was loud and kept making noise all night.
No much
Room smelled like stale smoke. Pool was closed.
Room was smelly, I wouldnt take my shoes off in room as carpet was sticky and gross, the chairs in room were so dirty. The fridge was loud n growled all night. The loby smelled of funk, pool was down. The front desk staff tho was great to work with. Will i go again nope
Stayed in room 322. Arrived very late and went straight to bed. Mattress was extremely uncomfortable, didn’t sleep much at all. Noticed in the morning that there was a massive yellow stain on the mattress - I would not have slept on it if I knew. The room itself was not overly clean, but not terrible. The breakfast area however was gross. Tables had clearly not been cleaned from breakfast the day before as chairs had been stacked on tables on top of food. I would never ever stay here again. Please save your money.
My room was in the middle of remodle
Breakfast was poor, bacon way overdone, no eggs, bread not fresh, and no fresh fruit. Poorly presented. Found hair pins on the floor , no bath towels, no styrofoam cups, no batteries in TV remote. Had to wash our clothes when we got home from the odour of cleaning agents staff used to clean rooms.
Hire people who care.
Nice clean rooms. Friendly service quality rooms, good breakfast. Easy checkout. Quiet rooms, good easy location to get to
Decent price. Very good location. Having a breakfast was nice but some of the items were just okay. Staff was friendly.
Carpet should've been cleaner. Not sure if it was vacuumed, but they need a steam cleaning. Furniture, in the room and even the lobby, was very dirty, probably from oil field workers and such. The breakfast was okay. The fitness center only had a few cardio machines, one dumbbell and one kettle bell. Requested to have the room cleaned but it didn't get cleaned. No follow through.
Clean
Pillows were horrible. No lamps. No plug-ins, no chair. Food was terrible and cheap and for $140. It was something that we will never do again.
Breakfast was okay beds very comfortable very quiet hotel
There was no fruit available for breakfast
