Enttäuschender Aufenthalt – weit entfernt von einem 5-Sterne-Hotel
Pros:

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war zwar in Ordnung, aber in keiner Weise besonders. Von einem 5-Sterne-Hotel hätte ich hier deutlich mehr erwartet.

Cons:

Das gesamte Haus wirkt stilistisch eher wie eine Heilanstalt als wie ein 5-Sterne-Hotel. Die Fotos auf Booking sind sehr vorteilhaft gemacht und vermitteln einen deutlich besseren Eindruck, als es die Realität hergibt. Auch die Raumaufteilung der Zimmer ist schlecht gelöst. Wir hatten ein Deluxe-Zimmer, in dem der Schlafraum viel zu klein ausfällt, während das Badezimmer unnötig groß gestaltet wurde.

Besonders enttäuschend ist die Duschkabine, die so klein ist, dass man sich als Erwachsener kaum darin bewegen kann. Hinzu kommen Duschgelspender, die lediglich mit doppelseitigem Klebeband befestigt sind, was einen entsprechend billigen Eindruck hinterlässt. Auch das Waschbecken im Bad ist völlig misslungen. Darüber hinaus war es im Zimmer insgesamt recht laut, da die Schallisolierung sowohl nach oben als auch nach außen sehr schlecht ist. Für lärmempfindliche Gäste ist das definitiv ein Problem.

Unterm Strich ist das Lido Palace aus unserer Sicht ein passables 4-Sterne-Hotel, aber mit Ausnahme des guten Personals keinesfalls ein echtes 5-Sterne-Haus.
