The bed was wonderfully comfortable- we especially liked the quiet, clean room and tge luxury bath products.
We also liked the kind and caring staff
The stairs up to the bedroom - Street , as my husband struggles with a knee injury
Everything..lovely atmosphere and staff..tasty breakfast..great location.
Liked it all
Great location, and the breakfast was excellent with very good quality.
We can honestly say there was nothing to dislike about our stay.
The best location in Winchester just a stones throw from the cathedral and a short walk to the centre for shops and restaurants. The room was great, opposite the pub and overlooking the street. Everything was fine aside from the shower was very weak. Breakfast was delicious.
Just the shower, was very poor pressure.
Local charm. Pub and restaurant serve good food and have great casual service. Room was comfortable and quiet, excellent bathroom.. Rickety stairs might be an issue for anyone with mobility issues.
Price was a bit high for the location.
Breakfast 👍location 👍

Excellent central location within easy walking distance of the city centre but still nice and quiet. History oozes out of every building.
All good
A beautiful house with an authentic pub. We absolutely loved this place. We highly recommend it. The location is fantastic. We went for beautiful walks throughout Winchester. In the evening we enjoyed wine by the bar. The atmosphere was perfect.
A wonderfully atmospheric pub hotel in a perfect location for exploring the centre of Winchester. Located in the quiet streets behind the cathedral you feel like you're stepping back in time and inside, the warm and cosy pub is everything I'd have wanted on a cold winter's weekend. Dinner and breakfast were first class as was the excellent HSB beer. Bedroom provided a comfortable and peaceful retreat. Everything tastefully decorated and well maintained.
There was nothing not to like.
The pub was quirky and just brilliant the breakfast was also very good
Nothing
Location was perfect, food was superb, staff very friendly and helpful, atmosphere in the bar and food area was good, car park a little small but got a space, not a criticism just a little hint, maybe a blind on the roof window in the bakehouse suite,
But will definitely be returning

Fantastic breakfast, cosy pub, lovely bedroom. Staff were friendly and the location was perfect.
The room was slightly cold (we stayed in January) but no complaints apart from this!
We have stayed at the Wykeham Arms quite a few times now and always have a really lovely time. The staff are friendly and the food and service are great. The rooms are comfortable and full of character, as is the pub.
This time we were a bit disappointed with the water temperature in the bathroom as it was only lukewarm on occasion. There was also a strange smell in both our bathrooms.
Also, there didn't seem to be as many Christmas decorations this year. Last year we even had them in our room! Although we came to celebrate my birthday, the Christmas Market is a huge draw, so the lack of festive decorations was noticeable. Perhaps though you were still in the process of putting them up? But it hasn't put us off coming again!
Full of character, great staff, comfy room and delicious food.
