Wykeham Arms
Pros:

Location was excellent

Cons:

Over priced. Access to fire escape route was blocked and filthy. Reported and apparently has been cleared now. In an emergency deaths could have been caused. Dust all over lights in the room. We had booked to celebrate our wedding anniversary... very disappointed in the response from company when issues raised. Not even a proper apology. Not the standard expected for the prices charged.

Most enjoyable stay and we were able to explore a bit of Winchester on arrival and before we left.

Pros:

A fantastic stay at the Wykeham Arms. The room was very clean and pretty. The tea and coffee facilities were great. The location is amazing just 5 mins walk to the centre of town. We ate in the pub and the dinner was amazing.

Cons:

Car park is small, try to arrive at 11ish if you want to get a space.

We came for the food. Fantastic location. Room was very nice but a bit noisy. But you do expect that when staying in an old building

Cons:

Nothing. If picky the ceiling in the shower could have been wiped. Showed some moisture staining. Also when other rooms used their water supply you could hear the rushing but as I say very picky and overall a great value evening

I loved the welcome, the service, the ambience, the bath in the bedroom, listening to the cathedral bells in the evening.

Cons:

The only criticism I had was the cleanliness in the corridor and stairs. The pictures and stairwell. If that was because the door had been presumably refurbished, I apologise. That is my only criticism. Everything was perfect.
