Please note that some rooms are located in the main building and others are in an annex opposite the Wykeham Arms. Both buildings offer rooms upstairs, some of which are steep and narrow and may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility.
Dogs are allowed only in Luxury Double Room.

We came for the food. Fantastic location. Room was very nice but a bit noisy. But you do expect that when staying in an old building
Nothing. If picky the ceiling in the shower could have been wiped. Showed some moisture staining. Also when other rooms used their water supply you could hear the rushing but as I say very picky and overall a great value evening
I loved the welcome, the service, the ambience, the bath in the bedroom, listening to the cathedral bells in the evening.
The only criticism I had was the cleanliness in the corridor and stairs. The pictures and stairwell. If that was because the door had been presumably refurbished, I apologise. That is my only criticism. Everything was perfect.

The staff are absolutely wonderful and the location even better.
With the hot summer you are having despite the staffs best efforts are room was like an oven , did not sleep at all our whole stay.So if it’s hot don’t stay in Kelsey room.

It was interesting.
The weather was very hot and there was no air conditioning. I tried to check on that and it was never mentioned on their site or your site or my email confirmation. I think that should be an item on the amenities list in case it would affect someone’s health
Also coming from a cruise in France we didn’t also have packed an English converter. The hotel did not have one available. And it was Sunday so by the time we got into our room we were unable to buy one.
My husband depends on his CPAP machine and was unable to use it. It was a very uncomfortable night.
We were exhausted
The food was great. The staff was great and also the city.
But a reminder to include adapters for the country you are in is essential. And they are very bulky.
