A really most enjoyable two night stay.
Pros:

Very friendly and excellent staff. The whole character of the building. The quality of the food.

Cons:

The stairs to the top floor bedrooms in the annex.

Unexpected kindness
Pros:

We arrived and were shown our room. The room was fine except it was high up in the building up many flights of stairs. It was only for 1 night and we said nothing. However, the young lady who had shown us to the room could see we struggled with the stairs. She returned after a few minutes to say that she had spoken to her manager and they would 'upgrade' us to a room on the lower floor. This was much appreciated.

Cons:

The stairs.

Loved the size of our suite and the lovely staff. Nothing was too much for them. They looked after us. Location tight near Winchester cathedral and a short stroll to the market square.

Cons:

Liked everything!
It is a 17th century building so thats the charm for us - NOT a negative
