The staff were lovely, especially the tech dep who came to grapple with our cast TV- it wasn’t working. He couldn’t fix it so we got moved to another room where it was working. Check in was seamless and so was check out. The local area has a lot to offer in terms of food and activities but some of it will be closed on the weekend as it generally caters to office workers. Staff are friendly and helpful!
We went to the spa on the first evening and it was PACKED so we decided not to use these facilities that evening. The lovely woman on reception there told us it would be quieter first thing. We went down at 7am (when it opens) and surely enough it was delightful. There were only maybe 8 of us down there. This was on a Sunday morning which meant we didn’t get a lie in 😅- “choose your struggle” came to mind.
Nothing just location
Everything firstly on entering my room the name on the welcome card wasn’t mine. The lights weren’t working apart from one light bulb and the desk lamp, the shower water was Lukewarm, plus turning on the shower it was it hadn’t been turned on in ages. The bed looked like someone had laid in it and wasn’t freshly made for someone who was checking in. Even asked for change of room and was willing to pay extra for an upgrade and was told they fully booked.

Had a lovely afternoon tea and spa experience. The spa was lovely booked a back and shoulder massage very reasonably priced. Afternoon tea with prosecco was lovely only thing was too much horseradish in one of the sandwiches made it too overpowering.
Bar/restaurant where we had the afternoon was laid out well staff very friendly and not rushed at all to eat our afternoon tea.

Our stay was truly made special by this hotel. Every member of the staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. We would especially like to thank Abdul for his outstanding hospitality. He celebrated our kids’ birthday and made our trip even more unforgettable. Thank you so much to the entire team for everything!
liked the pool facilities. Good air conditioning when we were there in the hottest part of June. Matilda at the front desk was very helpful. Close to the Tower of London and the tube stations. Liked the water in the lobby for guests.
Hotel is well located. Great for taxis/tube etc. Check in and check out very quick and staff pleasant. Good communal areas - bar and lounge areas.
Room was a little disappointing. We booked an executive room but view obscured, bathroom small. We were travelling with family and we were all accommodated on the same floor which was helpful. We accessed the executive lounge but there was a lack of advertised snacks and drinks sadly.
Main complaint about the room was that I had a skin reaction from the bed. I suspect that this was bites rather than an allergic reaction which has since been confirmed by a visit to the GP as the reaction had not subsided four days after. We spoke to reception about this when we checked out and I was assured we would be contacted but have not been so yet.
Shower leaks!
