Fantastisk sted i naturskønne omgivelser.

Fantastisk beliggenhed i smuk natur
God og stor seng

Hjælpsomme og servicemindede medarbejdere, især de kvindelige tjenere ved udeserveringen.

Cons:

Mange trapper.
Ingen udsigt fra værelset da vi havde fået tildelt et "patio" værelse, hvor man kiggede ned i en slags gårdhave.
Vores "patio" bestod af en fransk altan.
De yngre mandlige tjenere ved udeserveringen var glemsomme og uopmærksomme.

We enjoyed our stay and all of the meals!
Pros:

Beautiful location and facility

Cons:

We had a bad leak in room 612 in the shower. We reported it the first night but nothing was done to fix it. We were unable to enjoy a good shower in that room

Ontspannen in luxe hotel met zeer vriendelijk personeel
Pros:

Ligging nabij natuurreservaat en toch dicht bij Haarlem. De rust om het hotel heen. Het personeel: behulpzaam, humorvol, attent! Diner was heerlijk.

Cons:

Badkamer is aan onderhoud toe, lichte mate van schimmelvorming in douche.

Pros:

Laat op de avond aangekomen maar we werden aller hartelijkst ontvangen.
Het ontbijt was uitgebreid en vers.

Schöner Zwischenstopp für eine Fahrradtour
Pros:

Sehr schöne Lage in einem Naturpark, umfangreiches Frühstücksangebot mit leckerem frischen Obst und Obstsaft.

Cons:

Ablagebretter im Kleiderschrank wären schön; da nur eine Stange mit ein paar Bügeln vorhanden ist, muss man "aus dem Koffer" leben, was für eine oder zwei Übernachtungen gerade so ok ist. Von drei Kaffeemaschinen im Frühstücksraum waren 2 defekt. Die frisch gebratenen Spiegeleier werden auf einer defekten Warmhalteplatte abgelegt, so dass ich zweimal nur kalte Spiegeleier erwischt habe. Wegen der umständlichen langfristigen Vorab-Reservierungen für den Wellnessbereich, habe ich diesen nicht benutzen können.

Poor Cleanness
Pros:

The hotel and its surrounding area are incredibly picturesque. You can explore the beautiful nature trails and the hotel itself exudes a sense of history. A spa was the main reason for our booking and it had good facilities, with a bathrobe and a large towel provided. The breakfast was also satisfactory.

Cons:

The cleanness of the hotel overall and our room specifically was extremely poor. There was blood stain in our bath tab, faux flowers everywhere collected so much dust that it was troubling. From faux ivy in the room wall to faux trees in the Spa area - all was covered in a very thick layer of dust. Also faux flowers around hotel don't add anything nice to the interior, on the contrary, they made it look cheap. Especially in the Netherlands, where fresh flowers are inexpensive. Also pillows were horrible. There is also this old hotel smell that follows you everywhere, but it's expected in this type of hotels. It's just coupled with dust and blood stain it created extra annoyance.
Finally, the hotel is secluded so there were not many options for dinner thus the dinners provided at the hotel were very expensive. The food quality fell short of its price, particularly the wine selection. The waiter and staff, on the other hand, were very friendly and attentive.

It’s a beautiful old manner, which deserves better staff and facilities
Pros:

The rooms were connected with a beautiful balcony, we appreciated that. There was nice to have a spa on premises, but no pool. the breakfast was great.

Cons:

For such a great room, the bed was terrible. Basically two single beds pushed together. It’s too bad. The place does not have a pool, that would really suit the hotel. The staff was very pleasant, but seemed inexperienced and uncoordinated. For example, we ordered room service, they forgot I have to walk to the front desk to remind them. We were still waiting. And when they did come, they did not bring everything we asked for and had to come back to the room again. Which made our evening pretty choppy. When I checked out, I asked for a receipt. They did not tell me I had a balance, and then emailed me after the fact saying I didn’t pay my bill. That was annoying.

Very relaxed stay in a really lovely setting with good walks in a nature reserve next door
Pros:

The room was comfortable as expected. Nothing by way of a view due to the courtyard setting. This was a shame, but perhaps we needed to get a better room for that. Room was clean and well presented. The bathroom facilities are starting to show some age, but were clean and easy to use.
