Chivapuri Beach Resort

It is a beautiful place with nice villas and wunderfull garden. The people are nice, the massage is very good and also the good, especially the breakfast.

This place has great potential. Very nice atmosphere, beautiful cottages inside, breakfast better than average in Thai hotels with lots of fruits. Especial thanks to the great massage place right by the sea. Difficulties to find english speaking staff and limited options to have taxies so not easy to move away from the resort - this did not bother us. Cottages require maintenance from outside surfaces. We will possobly visit again.

Hôtel superbe, c’est un petit coin de paradis. La plage est calme, la piscine très belle, les chambres superbes.

Le restaurant de l’hôtel affiche une carte variée et à prix raisonnables.

Le personnel est adorable et toujours disponible.

Seul bémol: le climat abime énormément et depuis notre dernière visite, nous avons déjà pu constater quelques dégradations qui méritent d’être vite réparées faute de quoi l’endroit perdra de son charme.

Very quiet and relaxing resort at the very south point of Koh Chang. This saved us some 1,000 THB taxi fare because most of the snorkling boat tours departured from the pier about 1 km away. The staff was very proffesional and the included breakfast was excellent. We can highly recommend this place for tranquility and quiet but also to explore the rainforest just around the corner.

Excellent well run resort. We had a very nice villa on the beach. The breakfasts were good. Attentive staff. Very quiet and super relaxing. Perfect place for a good rest. However, this station is remote and the road to get there is a bit dangerous, so if you have a car, drive slowly.

A beautiful setting and nice staff but leaving aside minor gripes...aircon broken, wifi intermittent, indifferent food and slightly damp rather gloomy ground floor rooms - the main problem was the large number of families with young children.
For example the Infinity Pool looks fantastic on website but looks very different when full of kids with balls, inflatables etc.
Not anti children but instead of quiet & relaxing got busy & noisy
Disappointing.
Room tips- avoid a1,3 & 5 as terrace under staircase

Have stayed several times. Booked a twin room and they tried to give me a room with a double bed and a mattress on the floor. They have moved the bar along way from the swimming pool. There is a bar closer which they open but there is never any staff there. Asked for bill night before checkout as early start. Payed the amount requested then asked the next morning to pay more as they had missed its off. Got alot of bites I think beach is infected with sand flys. Breakfast good swimming pool great but for the price that has been going up every year will not now probably be going back.

Great location on a nice beach at the far end of the island. All the staff are very friendly. 5th time we’ve been here and it won’t be the last.

We stayed in one of the Beach front villas and the room was excellent. Food was good and the staff is very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The Good: Great staff. Great managers. Great Housekeepers. Good food and bar at reasonable prices. Great location, right on beach - down a dirt road so you really feel that "get away, tropical escape" feeling. Huge rooms in the villas at a very reasonable cost. Nice clean, quiet small swimming pool - not infested with screaming children. Right ocean front on great looking beach. Typical shallow reef off shore so bring booties and swimming is better at high tide.

Could improve: No furniture in huge room. Please. Some chests of drawers. Some real chairs. A couch. Everything is designed local style I guess to live on the floor. Bad smell, sewer gas in bathoom, weak on hot water. AC is weak - had to move the bed under the AC unit to sleep. Room is also too dark - needs some bright lights for when guest wants to work or see. Wifi was very poor.

Mix: You will suffer a 30 minute often horrible drive down a road that is not wide enough to get to the resort. However, once there you will have a much better isolated, tropical paradise feeling than the big developments closer to the ferry port/town center.

good honeymoon spot , private quiet. sandy beach with pickup for snorkeling trip right off the beach, only negitive is rocky bottom just off beach not good for swimming.

I plan to find and contact the owners of this resort. I have never written a review before, but I feel compelled here - absolutely everything was pitch-perfect. The staff was knowledgeable, INCREDIBLY patient (we spoke no Thai), and thorough to the last detail, helping us with everything from walking directions to borrowing the free kayaks. The hotel is at the end of the road, so it's REALLY quiet, but is just a few hundred yards walking distance (on the beach) from a really nice group of restaurants, cafes, a few small stores, scooter rental, etc. It also backs up against the jungle, which we explored (against the recommendation of all the guidebooks) and managed to see Silvery Lingur monkeys, a retired rubber tree plantation, a waterfall, etc. The name of the woman who manages the front dest was exceptional - kind and friendly without fawning, and a real pleasure to see each day of our 5 night stay.

Other travellers have mentioned the accessibility problems, hotel located down a rutted uneven road, which taxi drivers want to avoid, and I feel strongly that this aspect should be addressed immediately as it's the only negative point to what could and should be an otherwise great holiday experience.
Welcoming, very helpful staff. Nice friendly cat at reception. Good size room, very comfortable beds, hot showers. Quiet, peaceful location. I stayed three nights, would be happy to return and not go elsewhere for duration of stay, provided they get the road sorted out.
