Clean room, nice breakfast, good view
Did not visit the spa. The breakfast was great. The staff/owner was amazing. Friendly and knowledgeable. Made my wife feel way more comfortable. Thank you
Absolutely stunning views. Especially from your own bed.
El Cráter has incredible views. Comfortable, luxurious rooms, and delicious food in the restaurant.
This place is out of this world and magical love this hotel so much. The staff are so lind and attentive. Best service, food spectacular, the view is breathtaking. Highly recommend
Very very comfortable hotel… Loved the bathtubs! Beautifully situated on the rim of Pululahua crater. Excellent Restaurant!
The location is without compare in the world; and to find a great hotel with lovely rooms and a great restaurant here is simply miraculous.
The views are truly unbelievable. Staff were excellent and the food was delicious. We wish we could have stayed longer!
It is a rainy season in the area and the staff made sure that we are comfortable no matter the weather.
Peaceful and quiet for a couples experience
Excellent attention to details, very friendly and with great knowledge of the area and activities that you can do. Highly recommended!
During a stay at this place you will surely be captivated by its unique setting atop a dormant volcano, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. The serene environment provided a tranquil escape from the city's hustle and bustle. The spacious rooms, each with large windows, allowed me to wake up to the beauty of the crater every morning. The hotel's commitment to cleanliness and comfort was evident throughout my stay
LOCATION:Situated on the edge of the Pululahua Geobotanical Reserve, El Crater Hotel offers unparalleled views of the volcanic crater and lush greenery. Its proximity to the equatorial line and the Mitad del Mundo monument made it convenient for me to explore these attractions. However, the hotel's remote location means that having a vehicle is beneficial for accessing nearby sites and the city center.
DINE + DRINK: The on-site restaurant provided a delightful culinary experience, featuring a menu that blends local Ecuadorian flavors with international cuisine. I particularly enjoyed the freshly prepared dishes and the opportunity to dine while overlooking the crater. The quality of the food and the attentive service made each meal memorable.
ROOM: We stayed in Room 408, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; VIEW: Stunning views of the Crater of the Volcano; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM:Good sized bathroom with a Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Good quality toiletries
FACILITIES: NO Gym or pool on site. They are supposed to have a spa that offers an opportunity for relaxation, and the hotel's proximity to hiking trails in the geobotanical reserve offered excellent opportunities for outdoor activities.
SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout-out to PAUL at the restaurant for hosting us wonderfully!
HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! Big Smart TV dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment in multiple languages
Amazing views and service. Just great for a side trip from Quito. Would highly recommend
Comfortable, quiet with amazing views. Food was great and the staff was very kind and helpful too
The hotel is pretty far from Quito's center but its worthwhile coming up here for a day. The rooms are very clean, the bed is comfortable, and the furnishings are minimal but elegant. Customer service is great. But what sets the hotel apart are the rooms (not all) that have huge windows overlooking the crater on one side, and the suburbs of Quito on the other side. Waking up and opening the curtains and having the view of the gorgeous verdant crater right below you is amazing. Highly recommended for a quick city escape. Prices are fair for what it is. Would be much higher in other countries.
This is a wonderful location for peace and also ease of accessibility to Quito. Scenery is breathtaking. Food and service at restaurant are excellent. The rooms are clean, spacious and have wonderful views both of the city and the volcano crater. The staff could not be more helpful and polite. I cannot wait to visit again. Visiting the Quito area I cannot imagine staying anywhere else.
We asked for the room on the upper floor when booking and they gave us the one below, the bathroom was outdated and had water problems, the king bed was two and a half square beds pushed together, and the mattress was worn out and very hard. Excessively expensive prices for what they offer, translucent curtain where you could see a lot from the outside, little privacy.
Perfect location, gorgeous rooms, delicious food, excellent staff!
Great relaxing and wonderful friendly people.
