The Ebano Boutique Hotel was a great experience for us when we recently traveled to Oaxaca!! The rooms were very nice and the Staff was so accommodating!! Carlos was such a huge help to us with his recommendations of things to see in the area and also made sure we were taken care of when we were at the hotel.
Breakfasts were very tasty. Rooftop had excellent views of the city at nighttime, don't miss going up there!
We would definitely recommend staying here, great central location too!!

From the moment we got there, the staff was always available, ready to help and provide guidance. Location is perfect and all the top sites and restaurants were within an easy walk. Highly recommend.

The staff and location of the hotel were its best features; otherwise, the hotel has not been updated in a long time. The rooms are old and outdated.

We had a week in this hotel and I would say it was an excellent stay. We were impressed from the moment we arrived. The staff was warm and helpful, making us feel very welcome right away. Our room was beautiful, spotless, quiet and very comfortable. We specially appreciated Carlos and his team. We had a great breakfast, quick check in and Carlos gave us a guide and suggestions where to go and where to eat. He went above and beyond to make my birthday very special.

We wanted to share how incredible our recent trip to Oaxaca, Mexico was, largely thanks to the exceptional staff at Palacio Borghese. Don Carlos and Farid, in particular, went above and beyond to enhance every aspect of our stay.

They ensured our rooms were meticulously cared for, provided refreshing drinks every time we returned to the hotel, and offered a fantastic list of must-see attractions, all within walking distance. Their coordination of reliable transportation with local taxi services was also invaluable, contributing to a truly five-star hotel experience.

The hotel itself is unique, with the charm of a converted home or villa, making it feel very cute and cozy. The entire staff was wonderful, and the food from their menu was delicious.

I am already looking forward to when we can return. Palacio Borghese is truly a must-stay in Oaxaca.

Very nice boutique hotel centrally located with the most comfortable bed but most of all the excellent guest service from all staff, especially the manager Carlos, was amazing!

The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Their kindness and attention really made us feel like more than just guests and it was a high point of the trip to Oaxaca. The room was very comfortable with good bed/pillows, AC. The room was very clean. The bathroom is a bit dated, but very well maintained and clean. The location was great with the zocalo and Santa Domingo church nearby along with many shops and restaurants. Noise at night was fine on weeknights, but on the weekend, noise from a rooftop bar across the street meant a pounding bass until around midnight. It wasn't too terrible with the windows closed, but it was audible so if you're sensitive to noise, this might not be a great fit for you. The continental breakfast was simple but delicious and the service was great. The roof top patio area offers nice views of the city. I was very happy with the Palacio Borghese.

I cannot recall ever having received such kind, attentive service from hotel staff. Right from arrival through to our departure five days later, all the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful at all times/hours with everything from sightseeing and transportation advice to offering a complimentary umbrella during a rain storm. This exceptional level of service helped make our stay special. Entrance to the hotel was always immediate and a good level of security was evident at all times. The location is excellent (right near the Santa Domingo church) with the zocalo within a five minute walk. There is significant street/bar noise. With windows/blinds closed, the noise is not too intrusive, but on Friday/Saturday night, the pumping bass from a nearby rooftop intrudes until quite late (our room was adjacent to the main entrance on the street). The room was kept spotlessly clean throughout our stay with a comfy bed, great A/C, but the bathrooms are getting a little in need of a reno. The rooftop patio is lovely with great views of the surrounding city. The simple included continental breakfast was basic (bread, pastry, fruits, fruit juice, coffee/tea) but tasty and nicely presented. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would recommend it.
