Good option in Charlottetown
Pros:

Modern feeling hotel in public areas, although in room could be any chain hotel. No self parking, valet only or street parking. Disappointed they don't provide bottled water or filtered water stations. Decent lighting in bathroom, nice to have real glasses. Decent water pressure in shower. Good amount of bathroom counter and desk space. Good pillows, but some stains on the blanket covers and pillowcases. Dishes from room service sat for 12 hours outside room. Quiet despite being busy. Annoying process for requesting late check out; called the evening before, told to ask again in the morning, called in morning, and told to ask again at 7, went to desk at 730 and was told that late checkout was not possible due to a marathon, they should have just told me that from the outset. Left bags behind counter without any issue. When checking out, advised we'd be back around 1230 and they had our car waiting for us when we got back which was nice.

Pros:

Room was nice and comfortable..nice view

Cons:

There was no coffee abailable in morning, all other hotels we stayed at during our Maritimes Holiday served complimentary coffee and tea. Had to walk to Tim Hortons to grab coffee.

Conveniently located downtown
Pros:

We flew in from Alberta for a family wedding and found the location very convenient. Being able to access the Confederation Centre without having to go outside was a big plus. The room size and amenities were perfect, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
The only issue we experienced was with regulating the heat in our room. The temperature wouldn’t go above 20.2°C unless we left the lights on, and one night we had to sleep fully clothed because the room was so cold. Aside from that, our stay was enjoyable.

There are some nice things about this hotel but not enough to make it a solid recommendation
Pros:

Location was excellent, valet parking is nice, staff were all very friendly.

Cons:

Hated the light in the room. Aside from the blinking smoke detector there was a motion-activated night light by the door in my room that kept flashing on and off all night long, hotel staff were unable to fix it so I had to stack pillows up against it to block it out. Also didn't love the giant frosted window on the bathroom door, no privacy and someone using the bathroom during the night lights up the entire room. Pool/hot tub was out of order for some of my stay (I paid more to stay here than other properties because of the facilities and then couldn't use them).

GRAND for a Reason!
Pros:

We stayed two nights at The Holman on a tour and it was the “Grandest” of them all. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and we were even cordially welcomed by the general manager. Everything about the room was first-class. The location was very convenient for exploring the city. You’ll love your stay here.

Dirty cup in room when we checked in!!!!
Pros:

In a very convenient and nice downtown neighbourhood….walking distance to a lot of sightseeing places/activities.

Room 611 was spacious with a small pantry…..however…..a dirty cup with the previous user’s lipstick still staining it totally horrified us considered the room price (and room only…no breakfast etc)….We were too tired after our long flight so didn’t bother to call to change anything (and psychologically afraid another cup wouldn’t be clean either!!!)

Front desk service was friendly and helpful even we arrived early (was able to assign the room to us after a quick while).

AMAZING! We will be back.
Pros:

The staff was so kind, the beds were the best hotel beds I have slept in especially for the value. It was one of the cheapest hotel options in the area. My daughter loved everything about it and we were able to stay comfortably for a week in a double queen room. The pool is awesome and we were often alone in the pool area. Though the gym is sparse, I made it work fine with the equipment available and I was always alone. I never had to wait for any machines.
