Dong Kinh Hotel

Location is great for me close local market, food,laundry across the street and noisy when the local open for business. the hotel need better up keep and staff need updated information to help guest.

Location is very close to a lot of restaurants and markets. Staff are friendly and nice. The room was a little run down (our sink had a massive crack), still reasonable. However, there was construction or maintenance during the time of our visit which woke us up every morning.

Many restaurants are nearby. A big market is just next to the hotel which you can find different kind of fruits for cheap price.

Mold and yellow stains around bathroom, smelly comforter, bath towels are old, should be recycle, housekeeper did not complete the basic toiletries. Very inconvenient of providing only one room key, room fridge was off when we remove room key from slot, ac fan blew directly to bed and can not turn fan facing other way, shower area is do slippery, can fall down any time.

I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel. The staff was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful, making me feel unwelcome from the moment I arrived. Basic customer service was lacking, and any requests were met with rudeness or indifference. The overall service was inefficient, and it seemed like the staff had no interest in ensuring guests had a pleasant experience.

Additionally, the facilities were not well-maintained, and the management appeared disorganized. The Air Condtion is not working. I have asked to change another room but they refused to do so. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I sincerely hope the management takes these concerns seriously and improves their service.

The location of the Dong Kinh hotel is very convenient. You can walk to Hoa Binh Market. There are a lot of delicious food nearby. District 5 is a Chinatown. The front desk staff has good service, There is also a young lady in the Hotel who can speak Chinese, especially the young beauty named Hieu, Because There were mosquitoes in my room and she upgraded me to a good room. I really appreciate her , Thanks Hieu 🙏 and the other two beautiful and handsome staff are also very good, so every time when I come back from Phu Quoc Island or Nha Trang we will stay here. If the hotel can be renovated and cleaned, I believe it will be a good choice. I would recommend it to people who like to live in Chinatown, because it is really convenient here. And we will stay here again when we come back from Da Lat.

Première nuit dans le bâtiment B horrible chambre salle petite .
Des personnes fumaient dans leur chambre nous avons demandé tant bien que mal à changer de chambre le lendemain ils nous change bâtiment A.
Un peu mieux mais très mal insonorisé impossible de dormir avec des jeunes qui faisaient la fête dans leurs chambres et dans les couloirs.
Malgré nos remarques le personnel quasi inexistant.
Le ménage dans les chambres n’est pas fait j correctement.
Je comprends pas les avis positifs moi je n’en vois aucun.

I got a room that not meet my reservation, hence no more rooms available so I had to accept it; hence price is cheap so you get what you paid for.

Toilet was unacceptable Dirty, hallway carpets terrible.

The hotel is actually 2 properties. My friend's room and mine were extremely different. One had an excellent AC and the one I had housed an old AC that didn't cool very well so it was fairly humid in my room all the time. Staff were unable to fix the issue. This is the heart of D5 so it's always busy around the hotel. Plenty of dining options around the hotel. Wish my room had been a little better maintained.

I have been staying at this hotel since September 10, 2024. I believe there is a good chance I will be stay here to October 30th, until I leave and return to Canada.

I booked the same room at Dong Kinh Hotel at Q 5, but it was cheaper than last year. The reception staff were very friendly and kind, especially a young girl named “Hieu” who was very polite. The highlight is that she speaks English very well, which allows some customers who don’t understand Vietnamese to understand some of the hotel services they want to know about.

Because the hotel room price is cheap and there are many Vietnamese food restaurants nearby, and Q5 has always been known as a food paradise in Ho Chi Minh City, I highly recommend this hotel!
