Nice, Updated and Neat..

Our first experience of a hotel in India and were quite surprised at all the security they had here, a week later and having stayed at other hotels, this is what to be expected. So if your first time, expect to arrive at the hotel entrance and the car to be stopped by security, mirror under the car to check for I assume bombs and then they check the boot of the car also. When you get to the door your luggage will be put through an airport security scanner as will as any other carry bags and you walk through a metal detector. It was a bit of a shock at first but you get used to the fact that this is how they do things here. The hotel is a very nice “haven” to go back to after a hard day exploring Delhi. The staff are really lovely, very professional and really helpful. They can organise taxis for you but they are quite happy to help you with your Uber app if having problems. You can also get currency exchange from the hotel which we did not think was a bad exchange rate and felt safer than trying to find somewhere “outside”. We opted for a premier, newly renovated room which was very spacious and nicely done, the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, not too soft, not too hard! Fridge,coffee making in the room and plenty of bottles of free water deposited every day. The buffet breakfast was pretty good, fresh omelettes made to order, baked beans for us Brits, Indian food if feeling more adventurous, lattes, cappuccinos brought to your table. No where to walk of for an evening meal near here and because of all the security actually did not feel very safe walking around in the evening anyway so we ate in the hotel for the 2 nights we were here. We did not try the buffet for our evening meals but preferred the more formal feel of their restaurant even though the food was Chine, Thai and Japanese but very nice, loved their take on crispy seaweed starter using spinach. Also would recommend the Sula Indian wine (not the fratelli). Good position for exploring the various sights in the city, Uber working well, would highly recommend not to miss the Akshardham mosque along with its Disney style rides (see my review) which for us was the highlight of Delhi along with the Chandi Chowk market.

The breakfast is wonderful. The staff is very attentive and addresses every request right away. We also did airport pickup which was very helpful.

Lots of options at breakfast and nice service.
