I was very disappointed with the way I was treated at the hotel. It was simply not acceptable.

As an IHG member, I am accustomed to receiving late checkout, subject to availability, both in India and internationally. Last month, I stayed at three IHG properties across Australia and Singapore, and in each case I was offered late checkout until 2:00 PM without any questions. During my stay at your hotel, however, I had to repeatedly follow up with the front desk regarding my late checkout request before it was eventually granted until 2:00 PM.

However, the issue did not end there. Even after the late checkout had been confirmed, I received multiple calls enquiring about my checkout time. Subsequently, around 12:30–1:00 PM, a staff member came to my room and informed me that the hotel was expecting me to check out. While I appreciate that the hotel eventually extended my checkout until 2:00 PM, what I found disappointing was the considerable confusion and lack of coordination among the hotel staff regarding the agreed checkout time. Such inconsistent communication created unnecessary inconvenience and reflected a lack of clarity and coordination within the hotel team.

This experience left me extremely frustrated, and I requested to speak with someone senior in the hotel. I was informed by the front office executive that she was the most senior person available at the hotel at that time. I then requested that the Front Office Manager arrange a call with a senior manager. However, despite my request, no effort was made to contact me during the next one and a half hours that I remained at the hotel.

At the time of checkout, I once again expressed my desire to meet someone senior and share my concerns. It was only then that the Duty Manager appeared and attempted to explain the situation. What made the experience even more disappointing was the fact that the Duty Manager was already aware of the issue. If the matter was already known, I fail to understand why no one made any effort to proactively reach out to me earlier. This reflects poorly on the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction and comfort.

What is particularly concerning is that all of this happened despite my reservation being marked as VIP and HVEC at the time of booking by an IHG staff member. While I am not seeking special treatment, I do expect a basic level of professionalism, coordination, and responsiveness when concerns are raised by a guest.

I hope this feedback is received in the spirit in which it is intended. I trust that the hotel management will take note of these concerns, review the matter seriously, and implement corrective measures so that future guests do not have a similar experience and can enjoy a comfortable and dignified stay at your hotel.
