Wonderful place, could be truly great if only...
Pros:

We have been to Château Amade many times and it is a always a wonderful oasis to relax the body and mind, and recover and revive your energy and soul. The F&B and spa staff are always exceptional, with great food featuring local produce and specialties, and great spa treatments from talented masseurs. The only room for improvement are some of the silly rules around the use of the spa and wellness after checkout time and when getting treatments (you need to pay extra in both cases), and the way the front desk staff enforce these rules with no flexibility or thought towards the customer goodwill or service.

Slovakia's little secret
Pros:

Off the beaten path, but oh so worth it. Built in 1904 as a mini-Versailles, it is likely the most unbelievable little gem you will find in all of Eastern Europe. Huge outdoor pool and magnificent indoor pool and hot tubs. All in regal elegance. And the simplest meal or snack is a Michelin star (in OUR book). Maybe because after seeing Bratislava, who would bother.....our suggestion is make the trip! (It's only an hour by car and you get to see the lovely countryside.)
