Schöne Lage & tolles Ambiente
Pros:

Tolle Lage direkt am Wasser, man kann Robben von Hotel aus beobachten, riesig großes Zimmer und Bad mit Badewanne, großartiges Lokal zum Abendessen und eine Sportbar mit guten Cocktails, kleiner Spa Bereich mit einem Whirlpool und einem Schwimmbecken mit Liegen im Freien und Blick aufs Wasser, wunderschön eingerichtete Lobby im maritimen Stil, sehr hilfsbereites Personal, Möglichkeit seine Wäsche zu Waschen, Parken im Hof oder in der Tiefgarage möglich

Cons:

Leider keine Frühstücksoptionen verfügbar nur Kaffee und Kuchen an der Theke - dieser aber leider sehr teuer, die Wege im Hotel sind teilweise etwas verwirrend

Not as luxurious as I was expecting, certainly for that amount of money.
Pros:

Very large room with a microwave a Nespresso coffee machine, and even a TV in the bathroom. There was indeed a view of the water. The staff were helpful. The state of repair was good. There was an underground car park as well as the one on the surface. There was an antique hotel car cutely parked out front, as if it had just shuttled someone from the station. There's a swimming pool and even a spa with a gym on the lower level. The heating and cooling in the room was effective, if somewhat noisy. There was a terrace with chairs out back, though I never saw any of the fires lit, even in October.

Cons:

The menu in the main restaurant was.... odd; Route 14 diner up the road was better and cheaper. The beds were shorter than I expected - anyone over 6 feet tall could have issues. The WC had an irritating problem. The chairs in the room weren't comfortable. Oddly there wasn't a kettle. Although it was a waterfront setting, it's probably a mile out from actual Sooke itself - where the hotel is, there's nothing really there. The hot tub was closed for a fortnight for repairs - sadly hotel pools and hot tubs often are prone to closures, which are often not advised to guests until they arrive. I can't find any record that they told me about this closure in advance. I'm not saying it wasn't a nice hotel, but describing it as "prestige" unless you mean the top floor which I didn't see, is overselling it. I thought the Tsawwassen Inn for example was nicer. I have an uncomfortable feeling that though the staff were conscientious, if we're being brutally honest it probably wasn't worth the money.

Cons:

The only place to get a regular cup of coffee closes at two in the afternoon. Only expresso in the rooms. Nowhere to get a coffee when you’re up early for a flight.

5 Star experience at an affordable price
Pros:

Best experience. First impression of this semi formal colonial inspired hotel. Room was clean with large screen TV as well a smaller one in the bathroom(first time ever nice while soaking in large tub). All staff exceptional service, with dinner presentation elegant and tasteful. Seems like this was designed for the rich but affordable for all. Wonderful decor, rocking chairs on decks, indoor pool with outside lounge area, outdoor fire pit with seating and wonderful harbour view.

We had a view of the parking lot, while the hotel was quite empty. The hot tub was under repair and we were not informed. Also they don't have much for coffee in the rooms. A Nespresso machine with the very small pods that make a lukewarm warm shot of espresso. Not impressed.

Picturesque hotel, beautiful location only 40muns from Victoria
Pros:

Beautiful property in a lovely town. The hotel had several places to eat, and the little cafe had exceptional coffee. The town was 5min drive and had everything from grocery stores to restaurants and cafes.

Cons:

Pool opened at 8am, very minor, but I’m used to hotel pools opening early.

Five Stars Plus!
Pros:

This hotel is exceptional!! We loved the fact that everything we needed was so close by. The Grill restaurant has delicious choices - for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the staff was just the best. This was our first visit to Sooke but definitely won't be our last and this hotel is at the top of our list.

Cons:

A very minor point but we didn't realize that there is a second underground parking lot until our second day. It would have helped to have known that sooner.

The shower faucet needed tightened so it was difficult to adjust water temperature.
