The bed was so comfortable it was almost unbelievable
The mildew and mold smell in 215 but also the most of the building had me eating allergy pills all night. The desk staff was told in the morning, I was too tired to complain.
Comfortable room
In the middle of renovations so mess everywhere and some things not accessible, should have been a little cheaper for the inconveniences.
Staff was friendly.
Ac unit was not connected to the wall thermostat. Didn't realize it for a while and room was hot! They are in the middle of remodel so it is very uninviting. Bed was hard so be aware.
I didn't care for the renovation occurring during my stay.
Dirty hotel
The property looked dirty despite being the most expensive hotel in the area. The pool was disgusting and the area in front on the building was abandoned and filthy.
Entire hotel had a bad smell to it and it’s not new. When I was checking in I was told the reservation from Hotels.com was rejected and had to pay in full a different amount. There are a/c units lying down an entire hallway, I assume for updates. Not sure why you would just leave them out in the hallway though. 1 of the elevators is not working. The other elevator made some odd noises and shook when it got to my floor. It actually made me nervous to use. My room key did not work so I had to go back down and use the elevator again. Got a new key and it finally worked. Room was fine and fairly clean. There was greasy handprints on the headboard. Every Hotel in Leesville is overpriced by at least $100 and needs repairs. They can only charge what they do because of the local Army base. I would recommend staying in Alexandria and avoid hotels in Leesville.
My recent experience at the Hampton Inn in Leesville/New Llano was not very pleasant. The bed was extremely uncomfortable—it felt like sleeping on bricks. Additionally, the room had a strong, unpleasant odor. I had to go to Walmart to purchase air freshener just to make the room bearable. Other than those issues, the stay was just okay for a 2-star hotel. It does seem to be the most suitable option in the area, but there’s definitely room for improvement in comfort and cleanliness.
Our room and bathroom was clean. Soft beds. Only 1 elevator was working off and on. We stayed on 2nd floor. My brother was on 4th floor and said he could smell mold in their room and bathroom.

Pleasant stay. Excellent breakfast. I really enjoyed my stay at the Hampton Inn in Leesville while visiting Fort Johnson. The hotel was clean, smelled nice, and just excellent.
Hotel staff is the best, Ally and Lacy especially ensure to take care of the guest so you have the best stay. We enjoyed our stay, clean hotel.i would highly recommend this hotel to anyone! Next time I'm in town I will be back to this same hotel !!
