My daughter & I were born and raised in Atwater! While I was visiting Catalina Island in 2012 The Atwater Hotel was being renovated I was invited to come back and stay. So here I am! I had a wonderful experience!

Lovely hotel with a beautiful but very small room. We would stay there again.
Pros:

Excellent location: central but not directly on Front St. Absolutely beautiful lobby and helpful staff. Nicely appointed room with a comfortable bed. Very nice that we could use the fitness facilities next door.

Cons:

The lobby was very cold, and the room was very small.

Charming spot in central Avalon
Pros:

Beautiful lobby, great coffee shop with wonderful options right in the lobby, fantastic staff, easy walkable location, room was clean, towels for the beach were easy to grab, there was always a smiling face ready to help!

Cons:

The carpets were a bit dirty and the room was so small.

❤️❤️❤️ What a time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what a time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what a birthday celebration time I had with me, myself and God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everything was epiccccccccccccccccc, from my dining at Luau Larry's and Avalon Grille to the shopping at various shops. The highlight was relaxing on the beach and the nice leisure daily and evening strolls were just what I needed. I met some really friendly people and one that shared my birthday🥰🥰🥰. The best rest you can ever dream of was at hotel atwater, top notch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Customer service excellent, room excellent, price excellent and a very beautiful hotel👊👊👊. I want to thank everyone for treating me with my royalty and I can't wait for my next time. I love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️ this Island, so until my next stay let's all together keep the peace✌️✌️✌️##DONTFALLFORSATANSTRICKSIN2026

Great for small getaways
Pros:

Rooms are small but good if you don’t plan on staying in. No microwave to heat up food. But very clean. Customer service ok in the night shift.

Celebrating a birthday
Pros:

This place was amazing. I love the modern but classy look & feel it has. Chris (front desk) was super helpful & gave excellent customer service. He even gave a free desert to my husband for his bday.
The room was quaint & cute. The location was perfect, near the entertainment, beach & local markets. Would definitely stay again. 👌🏽
