Pleasant stopover to break a long journey
Pros:

Great location Central Oakham, good base for visiting Rutland Water and Barnsdale Gardens

Cons:

Parking is a chore. The hotel car park is small and approached down a long narrow driveway, we took one look and realised our quite large car would not fit.
There is public parking close by (free 18:00 to 08:00) but you need to remember to pay at 8:00 every morning.

Lovely hotel near to the town centre.
Pros:

Comfortable hotel , good food and convenient for the town centre.

Cons:

Only slight issue, the car park was full so we had to go in the car park next door which was close by but you have to remember to pay from 8.30.a m

Pros:

The bed was comfy.The room was quiet, never slept so well in a hotel. Room and bathroom were really clean. Loads of choice at breakfast including gluten free so great if you're coeliac.

Cons:

Only the limited parking. Parked in car park literally next door, but had to set alarm so we could pay before 8.00am, but no great issue.
