Smell in the corridor
Great location and a short 7 min walk into Salisbury Parking was great and reasonably priced. The hotel has recently been upgraded. The rooms were beautiful decorated and very comfortable.
The breakfast were excellent and freshly cooked with a great selection of continental and cooked breakfast items.
All the staff were very welcoming and pleasant. Victoria was on duty in the restaurant for breakfast. She was excellent, running the restaurant efficiently and quickly, anticipating everyone’s needs with a smile. Victoria worked very hard and was a credit to your hotel.
Nothing
Very close to city centre for walking in.
The hotel looks like it has been refurbished but there was only a wall electric heater in the room and there was not heat in the bathroom so the tiling never really dried nor did the mirrors defog even after a few hours.
The location was excellent, the breakfast was good. We had a comfortable, welcoming and pleasant stay.
Some refurbishment still required
I had an interconnecting door not with my friend and had to listen to the couple next door - it was a bit embarrassing as not very soundproof
Room was lovely
Receptionist rude had already paid and still requesting payment , not welcoming at all.
Clean, friendly people, nice coffee, spacious room.
There was some noise from boiler at night.
Location parking except it’s £10 for 24 hrs!
Our room was cold, the air con wasn’t working nor was the portable heater We had to ask for it to be replaced. In the morning. There was no hot water at all! When complained at breakfast we were told it would be hot later. Initially we were offered a refund of the £10 parking charge. Eventually 25% including the parking was taken off the bill
Breakfast on the Friday was good, on the Saturday not very hot and slow
Maybe the kitchen could speed up a bit. Staff kept apologising to people
Excellent staff, friendly and helpful. Room stylishly decorated and comfortable. Within easy walking distance of the city centre and good restaurants.
Sometime between Saturday 1st November and Sunday 2nd November there was some kind of explosion in the kitchen which meant there was no hot food available on Sunday and no pastries. This was obviously not anyone's fault, but it did mean we did not get the breakfast we had paid for. On Sunday, there was a hot food selection, but still no pastries (which is what my husband prefers), no fruit salad or fresh fruit.
There was also no hot water to our bathroom (room 220) on Monday morning and we had to wash in cold. We did advise reception of this problem but as we were about to check out, we did not wish to push for a resolution at that point.
