Borough Arms Hotel

Parking can be a challenge at busy times. I didn’t expect much due to room cost, so i wasn't surprised when i turned up to what appeared to be a 1980's style themed hotel.
No lift, so i can imagine people with mobility issues could have a problem staying here. My room was on the top floor. Decor was very dated. Bed quite hard, pillows were too soft. Wall lamps had dust and cobwebs hanging from them. Toilet seat was loose and slipped to side when seated sometimes. Lighting levels seemed very low in bathroom.

Wardrobe had ample space and tea/coffee making facility was a bonus. Breakfast options were adequate and reasonable service

We enjoyed our stay. We didn't do anything locally as we were visiting pur friends who live locally. However I would stay here again

Only stayed the one night having stayed in Newcastle before it is in the good location however the hotel itself is quite dated now and probably need of a refurb the car park is very small for the size of the hotel.
Staff are very attentive and friendly.

Tired property. Bedroom was sad with a shockingly stained mattress and pillows. I slept on top of the duvet which had a clean sheet. Bathroom clean and functional but very small. Lots of cheap places to eat in walking distance.

The Borough Arms was fine for a stop-over place as we drove the length of England. The room was adequate and clean, but the walls were thin and decor/accessories decidedly dated. The doors to the rooms which open to the parking lot do not automatically lock so you have to make sure you lock the door after you enter (to prevent someone mistakenly walking into your room rather than there's as happened to us) and when you leave. The keys are attached to a large panel of wood which does not easily fit in pockets or small bags.

Room very small,no air conditioning bed was described as double but very small for 2 adults.

The hotel was comfortable and I enjoyed my one night stay there. It was at a convenient location and close to local shops. Would definitely recommend

Really friendly staff. Rooms clean throughout

I had a nice room where I could rest, read and crochet in peace. The bar was only across the car park and I enjoyed my meal and drink there.

Professional, friendly team make everything run like a dream.
Perfect beds, excellent breakfasts, knowledgeable staff and friendly atmosphere.
Only minor flaw was the Annex rooms just need a slight modernisation.

My 2nd or 3rd stay, and happy to stay again, good value, great helpful staff.. No complaints at all 👍☺️

I liked this hotel very much. It was warm and welcoming and the staff were friendly and very helpful if you needed anything.
The breakfast was amazing, fresh and cooked to perfection. The bar meals were very good to and all reasonably priced. I would most definitely stay here again as it felt like one big happy and homely place to stay. Would recommend it to all friends and family.
