Probably not worth the charge per room
Pros:

Staff were nice and provided a good service . Everything seemed to work okay in the room .Location was close to the town .

Cons:

Very dark and dated . Needs a refresh . Significant cosmetic issues in the bathroom ( see pictures ) .Wall are wafer thin we could hear our fellow guests using the toilet , taking a shower , coughing etc .

A lovely 1 night stay and meet up with friends. As good as last visit years ago.
Pros:

Excellent evening meal and breakfast, friendly staff, nice room. Stairs a bit difficult and fire doors heavy but necessary. Repeat visit after many years and enjoyable stay.

Cons:

Due to personal mobility stairs were a challenge.

Pros:

We arrived at 12.30 and our room was ready for us. The receptionist was polite and helpful and the breakfast was nice in the morning. The room was clean and comfortable.

Cons:

There seemes to be a lot of noise from other rooms so I didn't get a great night sleep however the bed was comfortable. Saying that, I would stay again.

Pros:

Great location, quiet area, parking, nice garden, very clean lovely friendly staff

Cons:

The walls were so thin that you could hear all conversation and movement from other rooms. The bed and pillows were not very comfortable. Bath mat desperately needs replacing!

Pros:

Lovely location and staff.

Cons:

A little worn, particularly in the bathroom. A mistake was made in no towels being put in the room (although very rapidly resolved when reported to staff).

Could be so much better - standards of facilities need to be improved.
Pros:

The breakfast was very good. The staff were friendly.

Cons:

We had two single rooms. Number 5 - the bed was not acceptable. It was very uncomfortable. The hot water tap had no pressure and just a small trickle. The bathroom bin had not been emptied from the previous guests. It was noisey due to the coolers for the cellar under the window.
Room 8 - The decor was a little tied but acceptable. The toilet seat would not stand up. The shower has 3 heat settings - burning, scolding and far too hot. The hotel must be aware of this problem.

Stuart House
Pros:

The location and the friendly staff. The young girl who worked on reception and in the breakfast room was lovely.

Cons:

It's a little dated and the breakfast room is dingy and dark. Paper thin walls mean you hear everything in the next room ( and presumably they hear you).
