Lovely setting, sufficiently close to Cheltenham races and reasonably priced for Gold Cup day.
Pros:

Lovely setting, sufficiently close to Cheltenham races and reasonably priced for Gold Cup day.

Cons:

Rooms a bit tired. Some basics though that there are simply no excuses for e.g. cobwebs in the windows, which suggests they hadn't been cleaned for some time. No heating on in room on arrival, although it did heat up reasonably quickly. No bath mat for the shower which was slippery. Simple things which would improve things.

Great stay in a lovely setting.
Pros:

We had a lovely 2 night stay, comfortable rooms and lovely location. We were looked after extremely well by the staff who were all very helpful. But Zak was particularly helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Scarlett was very bright and friendly at breakfast, again nothing was too much trouble for her too, breakfast choice was very extensive. Our son and partner are going for 2 nights in Aoril on our recommendation.

Great evening meal in a lovely hotel.
Pros:

Lovely cosy hotel, friendly staff. Log fire in the beautiful bar area was a nice touch. Came for an evening meal at the Tara Restaurant as we heard great things about the food. We were not disappointed. We ordered Prawn Saganaki, Crispy Asian Duck salad and the Braised Pulled Lamb for main. All delicious…Compliments to the Chef, the food was outstanding. I have now booked for Sunday lunch…can’t wait!

Great Experience
Pros:

So booked online and didn't know much about the hotel. Had a great stay, the price was amazing, the service was great, the food was incredible (had two banana puddings as it was so good) and the breakfast was also lovely. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that they do not accept cash. Had I known this in advance I wouldn't have booked, but I don't want this to take away from an excellent stay and excellent service so have still given an honest review!

Wonderful relaxing overnight stay.
Pros:

We had a late afternoon tea booked in the restaurant and decided to add a night’s stay to our time at Hatton Court. A beautiful history rich friendly hotel with superb views over the Severn Valley. The afternoon tea was wonderful , the homemade scones especially. Our breakfast the following morning was also very tasty with an impressive choice of continental and hot dishes, it was difficult to choose what to have - the ‘smashed avocado with poached egg’ was divine!
We would highly recommend the hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again, thank you!

Lovely hotel but the restaurant I would give a miss
Pros:

Beautiful location
Comfortable room and good pillows
Tired bathroom
Renovations were underway

Cons:

The dinner was not good .
The fish and chips were greasy and the mushy peas looked like they had been sitting out for a long time . The tartare sauce was unpleasant .
The tomatoes in the tomato and mozzarella salad were soggy and again looked like they had been sitting out for a long time .

The sticky toffee pudding was dry

The waiting on staff were lovely

Gone down hill
Pros:

Stayed in March and everything was great, so much so, we returned in October, we were given an upgraded room but everything unfolded, look at the photos of my eggs benedict breakfast for March compared with the same breakfast in October. 1st day had a shower and also had a great scare when I looked at the towel I was using, luckily it wasn’t what I first thought, anyway I complained before we went out for the day, when we arrived back the room had not been cleaned and the towel was still there, I complained again and the manageress came with clean towels and said something about they were having trouble with the cleaners. Which to be honest isn’t good enough didn’t get any discount or anything, oh and they now allow dogs in the rooms, so I don’t know if they will be very clean at all for asthma sufferers.

Weekend get away
Pros:

The hotel is gorgeous, with amazing staff and in a scenic spot. The long driveway desperately needs fixing though, it's teeming with big potholes.

The baths are huge and the hottest water at a hotel ive ever known. This made for a very relaxing evening after a very long day!

The evening meals were incredibly well cooked. My steak was amazing, and my partners fish cooked perfectly! The breakfast is another story though. I got a very sad looking small full english and my partner got a sandwich, the tiniest glasses for juice, and regardless of what we had it was £17 each.

There are refurbishment works happening, which we were not told about before arrival, only once we got there. We were told they were not going to start before 12pm, but alas, we could hear them banging away at 9am.

We booked a double and the bed was fairly small with a not so comfy mattress. This was not big enough for me and my partner and made for quite an uncomfortable sleep. The room however, was ample sized and a lovely setting.

Great stay at Hatton Court
Pros:

Excellent experience, from the great welcome from Zac on reception, to lovely warm room, tasty evening dinner, and not forgetting such a wide choice of breakfast.

All the staff were friendly and helpful.

It was great value for money. We have stayed at Hatton Court before and if they continue their offers we will stay again.

Thank you Hatton Court for a lovely short break
