Nice location, comfortable bar, comfortable bed.
Shower in large corner bath was dangerous for 83 year old, nothing to hold on to.
Lovely period property
The bar is light and airy with a huge balcony with wonderful views over the countryside. We had a huge bed in a spacious room, spare pillows in the wardrobe a lovely surprise. Breakfast the cooked options were amazing I had Shakshuka eggs were lovely, my friend had the most amazing poached eggs on smoked salmon. White company toiletries which I love.
The buffet could do with bowls for the fruit, eating from a plate was tricky. The Bread selection for toast could be so much better. The bathroom, was spotlessly clean with a 1990's corner jaccuzi bath, not sure how you could have had a shower without flooding the room. The tap on the sink literally thundered as it worked.

Everything
Nothing
Lovely building and setting.
Radiator heating even after the warmest day of the year so far.
We loved the location, the ambiance, the beauty, the peacefulness of the location, the heated toilets. The heated toilet might have been my favorite part.
There was nothing that I didn't like.
Great breakfast, staff really friendly and helpful, would stay again nice view from hotel
We celebrated our Statutory registration of Marriage and the staff gave us the most stunning welcome. Got a gorgeous room with private spa and a welcome card which was a very special touch.
The only tiny thing I would mention is the room service could have been better. Order wasn’t right.
The staff
The location
The view was a little disappointing due to debris around car park
Hotel itself needs some updating
Shower was poor ....water temp kept changing but nothing scalding....nothing that can't be fixed in this hotel I'm sure x
We had a lovely stay and will be back due to close proximity to Cheltenham race course
Location
The fact that it was rundown
Very good location to basically anywhere in the Cotswolds,The food in the restaurant was absolutely fantastic and breakfast was excellent.Staff were lovely, the only negative was drinks very expensive in the bar, apart from that we had a fantastic stay.
We booked a Warm into Winter package directly with the hotel, which was excellent value for money.
Our newly refurbished room was in the annex. It was very pleasant and the beds were comfortable, although the wheels were not set on one and it moved when you sat down. The bathroom was wonderful! Heated toilet seat with automatic flush and inside bowl night-light - it was truly something to behold! The shower was great and the toiletries were very good quality items.
The package included a £25 dining credit which was enough to buy a delicious main. We were offered a wide range of freshly cooked breakfast meals from boiled eggs and soldiers to full English, plus an array of continental items.
All staff were friendly, professional and very helpful.
We have previously stayed at The Corner House in Taunton which is part of the same group. We were very impressed with both hotels and will definitely consider the other locations in the future.
View is great! Staff are very helpful and friendly and the food is superb. Parking can be a bit tricky
Location is excellent for any local venues especially Gloucester Quays ten minute drive, atmosphere was very relaxing inside and outside , rooms were good size with tv and bathroom with wardrobe with ironing board, extra towels, heater/fan , hairdryer
Excellent value for money, booked through Travelzoo so did get a few extras. Cleanliness of hotel was excellent, noise level was ok , there were a couple of occasions happening when we stayed but didn’t spoil our stay. The service from staff were excellent, went above and beyond, but one receptionist was very friendly and the other receptionist could have been a bit more polite. Would definitely recommend.
