Recital Hotel

Recital Hotel is a gem in the middle of Old Istanbul. The rooms were very clean and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The staff went above and beyond to help me. The breakfast was amazing. The view from the rooftop terrace was beautiful. The property felt safe. I would stay here again!

I have had a fantastic stay at the Recital Hotel. From the moment I arrived, everyone made me feel genuinely welcome. Abdurrahman checked me in, provided a map, shared helpful sightseeing tips, recommended restaurants, and even suggested a hammam. Although I already had an appointment, I really appreciated his hospitality and local recommendations.
Every member of the staff has been warm, kind, and professional. Bilal and Tolga were wonderful during breakfast, and Tolga took the time to explain the different Turkish dishes so I could try something new. The manager greeted every guest each morning with a smile and a cheerful "good morning," creating such a welcoming atmosphere.
The breakfast buffet is outstanding with a wide variety of fresh Turkish and international options. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the hotel is in a safe, central location within easy walking distance of many of Istanbul's top attractions.
One of my favorite features was the rooftop terrace. It offers stunning views of Istanbul and is a wonderful place to relax. There are comfortable wicker chairs with cushions, tables, umbrellas for shade, and a small bar, making it a great spot to enjoy a drink or simply take in the scenery.
The customer service is what truly sets this hotel apart. From the bellman to the front desk to the breakfast staff, everyone has made me feel comfortable and genuinely cared for. I am having a fantastic time in Istanbul, and I would absolutely stay here again. I highly recommend the Recital Hotel whether you're visiting for a few days or spending a week. Five stars!

We had a very enjoyable stay at Recital Hotel and it actually exceeded our expectations. We would definitely stay here again.

The standout feature of the hotel is undoubtedly the staff. Everyone we dealt with was exceptionally attentive, friendly, polite and professional. They spoke good English and were always welcoming and helpful. What impressed us most was how attentive they were — on several occasions they seemed to anticipate what we might need and solve things before we even had to ask.

The rooms were very clean and were cleaned perfectly every day. They were a good size — neither too large nor too small — with comfortable beds, good lighting and very effective air conditioning.

The location is particularly convenient if you want to explore the Sultanahmet area. Hagia Sophia and the main Sultanahmet attractions are within easy walking distance, with plenty of shops nearby and convenient access to the tram.

Breakfast was included in our stay and offered good quality and variety, although there weren’t many specifically Turkish options. The breakfast area can also feel a little cramped at busy times.

There were a few other minor points that could be improved. Our rooms didn’t have particularly good views, and the street leading to the hotel is quite narrow. There was a construction site nearby which caused some occasional noise, although this wasn’t a major disturbance during our stay. The luggage rack in the room was also too small to comfortably accommodate a standard travel bag.

The bathroom was clean and generally good, with both an overhead and handheld shower, but the water pressure from the handheld shower was noticeably weak. The shower floor was somewhat uneven, and the smaller toilet flush was too weak to be useful, so we generally had to use the full flush. The shower-gel dispenser was also empty when we arrived and unfortunately wasn’t refilled during our stay.

Wi-Fi worked reliably but was slightly slower than we expected — certainly usable, just not particularly fast.

We paid roughly €750 for two rooms including breakfast, and considering the comfort, cleanliness, location and especially the quality of the service, we felt it represented very good value for money.

Overall, these were relatively minor issues and didn’t detract significantly from an excellent stay. I would particularly recommend Recital Hotel to anyone looking for easy access to Hagia Sophia and the Sultanahmet sights while also valuing genuinely professional, polite and attentive staff.

We had the most wonderful experience at the Hotel Recital. The hotel is small boutique hotel located in Sultanahmet, within walking distance to the Blue Mosque, the Topkapi Palace, Aya Sofia and the Grand Bazar. Very clean, great atmosphere, the staff at this property is very accommodating and ready to assist, the Turkish breakfast is wonderful.

A very homely hotel perfectly situated walking distance of all you have to see...Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar public transport connections, restaurants and many more!! Staff were super friendly and helpfull! Can recommend it for a comfortable stay in old town!

El alojamiento perfecto el personal inmejorable sobre todo un trabajador que estaba ayudando con las maletas se involucrado con nuestro transporte para el aeropuerto que no llegaba a tiempo y si no es por el el avión lo perdemos que el aeropuerto de estambul estaba ayudando grande y muchos controles muchas gracias al Hotel
