Rien
The room had the most beautiful view!
But it’s extremely small for the price.
The wellness area is not designed to actually relax. There is a hot pot and sauna but it’s just put into the backyard. No place to leave your towel. No details to make it more cozy.
When I arrived late there was no previous briefing on how to get to the property. No phone number shared for taxi services. At this price level, I do expect some kind of services and not waiting 40 minutes in the cold to get picked up.
There’s also a parking area to unpack for the taxi to then park the car. No one told me about it. So I ended up carrying all my stuff including skis from the underground parking.
If you want high value customers, you must provide higher value service.
Also no one at the reception was able to brief on the skiing area, where to go best, no one told that the connection was closed between two resorts and I found it out at the end of a 3 hour skiing tour.
Great location! Quirky but beautiful with superb staff and great bar
Hot tub wasn’t working properly but still nice
Booked a last minute trip with my 13 year old daughter for the last week of the ski season. This hotel was wonderful! It’s nicely located just down from the main village of Avoriaz. It’s easy get to the three main chairlifts and there is a ski shop directly opposite. The staff at the hotel are all really welcoming and friendly. Our room was big and comfortable, and had a wonderful view of the mountains. There are great radiators for drying things if you have a wet day on the slopes. There are a couple of saunas, a steam room, and a Nordic bath, which were all lovely at the end of a long ski day. I’d seen bad reviews about the breakfast but I thought they were excellent - lots of different pastries, cakes, yoghurts, cereal, eggs, smoked salmon, lovely fresh orange juice.
On arrival in Avoriaz, we walked down with our bag in a sledge, and when we departed, we got a snow mobile (the horses and sleighs had stopped for the season). The hotel helped arrange it for us at 6am as we had an early departure, nothing was too much trouble for them to help us. I would definitely stay here again and really enjoyed our stay.
