Really liked the location. Most of the attractions are in a walking distance, making it easy to access without taking public transportation. From positive things can also mention Faruk who is a nice host and who was always there to help.
Now, I would like to mention that first off, the hotel really needs the renovation. What you see on the main pictures, that’s how the hotel used to look like probably 10 years ago or so. Now, everything got old. The bed linens are ripped, the beds are old, the lamps are half working and keeping itself on its places. The rooms are super small and are lacking some closets for clothes. The cleaning was also so so. You could see someone was inside and threw trash but that was all. The cleaning lady was taking dirty towels and never brought fresh back. The toilet paper was never provided except for the time when we checked in. Our tv did not work, we complained about it and no one ever checked it. The breakfast is very poor. I don’t know how other guests could say it was great and good. Well, it was far from good. The only thing what I could see was nice to eat was omelette which we used to get every morning: 1 omelette for 3 persons. And I’m really sorry to bring it all in but if I would’ve seen such comments when I was choosing the accommodation I would definitely not choose this one. I think most of the guests feel bad leaving bad comments because they don’t want to offend a host - Faruk. I just wish my comment will prevent people from making a mistake when booking this accommodation and hoping for something great.
Everything was Excellent, especially the friendly owner ( Farouk ). The location is perfect, Breakfast was decent and guidance by people there was very useful
Everything was Very good , but the Room was very small , with no bottle of water in Room during our stay, while the water was only provided in reception. Also the exhaust fan in bathroom wasn't working
In general, the whole experience was satisfying and I would recommend it
They serve a wonderful breakfast with a wide variety of items, including sweets and traditional foods, in a cozy and lovely dining room. The hotel is situated in an amazing location within a historic area. The reception staff was very helpful, allowing us to store our luggage at the hotel for several hours after check-out so we could continue exploring the city.
There are a few small drawbacks to this hotel. The main issue is the stains, which can be difficult for families with young children or even dangerous. It would also be helpful to pay closer attention to the stains on the pillows and bedsheets, as they make the linens uncomfortable to use. Lastly, the smell in the bathroom is somewhat unpleasant.
Location is excellent.
Lots of stairs if that is a problem
The decor was tired and signs of damp
Perfect location and staff very friendly
4th floor without elevator
the owner of this place is awesome. super sweet guy that's happy to share reccs for things to do. the location is awesome as well, super central, easy to get anywhere from here and very quiet at night. perfect for a short stay, or if you spend most of your time exploring and not in the room
Owner Farook was very cooperative and friendly. A good stained glass artist also. Learned a bit of that also. Good place to stay. Very near to most of the important places.
We were impressed by the owner, Faruk. He helped us from airport transfer till carry luggage up to the room. We are so appreciated by his hospitality. Location is great, walkable to tram and tourist attractions
Hotel entrance cannot be reached by car so we have to walk in with luggage and Faruk helped us carry down the stair.
The room and towel were pretty ages and some facility was not work well.
They stated that breakfast ended by 11.00 but there were no food replenish to buffet line at 10.30, they provided us sausage instead. BTW, local sweets during breakfast were great.
Only the location was decent and close to some places we wanted to visit anyway.
We were 2 families , each one with their own room. The hotel and especially the rooms were very old fashioned, everything was broken and was falling apart. The most important thing is that everything was dirty on both rooms (hairs in the bathroom and on the sheets, dead flies in the corners of the windows, dust and module in the corners and walls, very dirty underneath the beds, even cans in the fridge and staff left from previous occupants) also breakfast ( flies and dirty cups). We both had no toilet paper from the second day or shower gel and there was no replenishment. On one room the toilet was broken and flushing poo water was coming out of the joint flooding the floor. They called the plumper to fix it and this room stayed with wide open door throughout the day - even with our stuff in there (so no safety at all). Upon our return the toilet was not well fixed and it was everywhere dirty fingerprints from the plumper… It was also a matter of health and safety in this hotel, as broken tiles, mirrors, wooden frames could injure you.
Breakfast was almost nothing, hardly had anything
to try and ofcourse no replenishment again (no
coffee, at least!) No lift to the floors and steps were extremely steep to climb, especially with kids!
