Wonderful hotel with horrible check in procedure
Pros:

Very beautiful hotel, fantastic location, excellent breakfasts, horrible check in procedure, very noisy as there are several bars just downstairs. Nice pool area and nice gym and spa
We really enjoyed this hotel, however, the check in experience was really horrible and unpleasant. When we arrived they told us we had no reservation, we made it through Agoda and showed it to them, it took 45 minutes for the receptionists to find it, we were right and they were wrong, as it was not our fault if the communication between the hotel and Agoda had issues. We would expect some apology, a coffee or a cocktail, instead absolutely nothing. The noise was bad but at midnight all the bars closed and we had a good night sleep.

I asked for late check out, and it was as agreed until 1:30 pm. But the room AC stopped working at 11:00 am, I called and went to the front desk, but nothing was done. We left the room at noon to take a business conference call from the coffee shop.

5 star stay with charm
Pros:

Viticuria neighbourhood is the safest and one of the most expensive in Santiago. Designed for tourists, safe to walk with plenty of international food and drink options close by. The hotel is still great, we had the terrace suite and is well worth the little bit more money compared to normal rooms. Having a balcony overlooking the mountains, a huge room, huge bathroom with walking shower and bath tub. All topped off with a private jacuzzi hot top on the balcony. This meant we only went to the Spa once, why bother when you have a private hot tub!

Breakfast was good and varied, with good timing with lots of fruit. Didn’t try the restaurant as went for a good meal at La Mesa and an epic gastronomic meal at 99 Restaurante.

The staff were great we arrive at 11am, before checking, the room was not ready but we used the Spa facilities to shower and freshen up after our red-eye flight from Madrid. Then we walked in the beautiful local park and had a great lunch at the Italian restaurant at the end of the park called Mestizo.

Cons:

Well worth the hot tub in the suite because the roof pool is tiny. For 5 star hotel I was surprised nobody offered to help with the luggage to the room
