Pros:

Overall, the interior of the room is decent. However the corridor and staircases need renovation to bring it up to at least a good standard. I did not like the smell on the corridor.

This is a very charming little hotel in a very convenient location. The room was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful. I would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in Caen.

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr zentral, nahe der Abtei St. Etienne. Es ist ein Haus, mit einer alten Treppe, mit einem kleinen Rezeptionssraum, in dem auch das Frühstück serviert wird. Das Frühstück war völlig ausreichend und wurde für jeden hergerichtet und serviert. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Bett war gut, das Zimmer ausreichend möbliert. Das Bad verfügt über eine Dusche und ist schon ein bißchen in die Jahre gekommen. Parkplätze gibt es in den umliegenden Strassen, ggfs. kostenpflichtig. Für unseren kurzen Aufenthalt in Caen war das Hotel bestens geeignet.

Cons:

Der Zugang zum Internet ist schwierig; wer darauf angewiesen ist, ist hier nicht richtig. Die Rezeption ist nur einige Stunden am Nachmittag besetzt. Es gibt aber die Möglichkeit eines autonomen Zugangs außerhalb der der Zeiten.

Emplacement et tarif excellents. Mais prestation économique.

L'emplacement, dans la zone historique préservée, est excellent. Les tarifs sont très compétitifs.

Cons:

Notre chambre (la grande "familiale" du rez-de-chaussée) est vraiment dans son jus et mériterait un coup de neuf. Vieux meubles, peinture écaillée, cabine de douche à l'ancienne, porte d'entrée vétuste, matelas/sommier pas de première jeunesse. On n'a pas eu d'eau chaude le matin (ça a été rétabli plus tard). On n'a pas eu de place pour le petit déjeuner (nous n'avions pas réservé et la salle a moins de 10 places assises).

Zentral gelegene, aber unsaubere Übernachtungsmöglichkeit

Die Lage ist top. Das Bett ist zwar relativ klein, aber ziemlich bequem. Es gibt eine kostenlose Kaffee-/Teezubereitungsmöglichkeit auf dem Zimmer.

Cons:

Die Treppe ist sehr schmal und steil, nichts für Unsportliche mit größerem Gepäck. Die Sauberkeit lässt schwer zu wünschen übrig.
Ich habe jahrelang hier Zwischenstopp gemacht, werde mir aber für den nächsten Aufenthalt definitiv etwas anderes suchen.
