Nice hotel, but needs a bit of loving care
Pros:

I’m coming location right next to the beach on the promenade

Cons:

We were not made aware that the last sitting in the restaurant on Sunday was 730pm we had luckily booked for 7 o’clock, but witnessed staff turn away 4 couples including hotel guest saying they couldn’t cater for them even before 730

Great seafront location & staff work hard to please customers.
Pros:

The staff make this hotel. Pleasant & efficient & eager to please. Nothing was too much trouble. Front desk outstanding.

Cons:

I was in room 26 - the people in the next room had their tv on to watch the World Cup - Scotland game. I heard all the goals at 2am even though I did not wish to listen to the football and wanted to sleep. . The walls between rooms need soundproofing.
I appreciate that food prices are increasing BUT £9.00 for desserts in the restaurant is excessive. £9.00 for two small scoops of ice cream is frankly a disgrace. Even 5* restaurants in London do not charge those prices. (I am from London).
Also £20.00 for a thick sliced sandwich on the terrace is excessive. The bread was far too thick like a door stop. I appreciate that the location of the Beachcroft is its biggest selling point as are the staff but but the above issues need improving.

Although the room was comfortable, overall a disappointing stay

It was convenient to where we wanted to be

Cons:

It is quite old now and although it appeared to have had a small makeover since our last stay the flooring was quite precarious in places. The breakfast was absolutely awful. I ordered poached eggs and I was very suspicious when it arrived in super quick time. This was because it had not been cooked to order, the toast was cold and hard and the eggs were lukewarm and hard. Obviously previously cooked and kept waiting for someone to order.

Perfect location, quiet rooms and happy staff
Pros:

Perfect location right on the beach, clean and quiet rooms, modern bathrooms,great indoor swimming pool, very good breakfast and happy and helpful staff

Cons:

Maybe the carpet in the rooms could be changed for a new one and the bunkbed could be less creeky

Very good base for enjoying walks by the sea and to visit local area
