So much noise on the balcony at night we left a day early
The noise at night from other guests
The water pressure and temperature in the showers at the spa were good.
Noisy - from people driving in the bar outside until
late at night to doors slamming shut from 6am, the noise would kept me awake or woke me up.
The room was very hot, couldn’t cool down as the temperature controls wouldn’t work.
Dinner in the Waterside restaurant was below average, burnt food, meal spilt on one of the guests and a long wait for food.
The company we went with
Dated rooms, expensive drinks
The room and the view was nice. There were silverfish in the bathroom. But the decor was nice, the mattress needed changing also.
Part of the weddings are held in the conservatory of the dining area and when they evacuated they are noisy it was below our room.
Spa facilities were broke, the spa is full of damp. Paid to use the thermal spa to find out anyone can just use it as the doors are open and there is no-one to stop them.
Clean and good spa.
Staff were rude in the restaurant.

Very nice resort
Bar and food very pricey
The tranquility of the hotel
Room smelt musty and damp. Shower wasnt nicest
The highlight was the lunch at the full day spa we booked. Service and food excellent, but either side of that, it is not worth paying for the full day! Maybe just see if they sell lunch at the spa. Disappointing and rare I leave a review when something is not good - but it was a let down for an anniversary long weekend.
Cleanliness - Availability of services they advertise - attention to detail... simple small things. 3 Night Stay and Just not great - far too many niggles such as: Bed headboard flaking and worn so pillows constantly messy - Pillows flat and uncomfortable - Bed throw stained - tap position on sink made difficult to wash hands - mould in shower - safe not working - Outside seating no cushions on rattan furniture - we booked spa days and: No smoothies (which were meant to be included) - 3 of the saunas not working - 1 of the 3 therapy experiences not available - Mud experience not explained properly so was wasted - 50% of lockers in mens changing broke - Everywhere looked a bit tired including the garden areas to the waterside which has SO MUCH POTENTIAL wasted by the hotel not doing some simple things. The staff were nice on the whole, in particular the Waterside bar staff and waiters/waitresses. The highlight was the lunch at the full day spa we booked. The staff were incredible especially Matt & Hannah x
Unfortunately no view of the canal due to overgrowth but Matt refunded my premium charge.
Spa and pool facilities were excellent. Restaurant was also excellent, compliments to the chef!
Room. Particularly the bathroom was tired, door needs TLC along with flooring in the shower.

Paid for a superior room which was advertised as luxury- not accurate as very small room, bathroom, needed a deep clean, big, old spiderweb in bathroom. No complimentary biscuits- not luxurious. Cold plates for breakfast, unappealing food, long wait for eggs and warm plates. Hotel needs some TLC - outdoor areas shabby and needs weeding.
