The pool, sauna and jacuzzi were lovely
The Canal boat beer garden was nice .
The double bed wasn't a double bed it was x2 singles pushed together . Asked for a double bed so expect a double bed .
Spacious clean room and helpful staff
Breakfast wasn't very hot, perhaps a microwave in the breakfast area?
Convenient for our journey home. Easy access to the canal path for a walk.
A few issues with cleanliness in the room.
Ceiling light shades very dirty, looked like they hadn’t been cleaned for months.
Ceiling tiles and n the hallway part of the bedroom were broken.
The whole property needs a refurbishment.
Swimming pool very warm inside the area.
The staff were pleasant , the pool and facilities were fine , the grounds are nice for a walk
The bed was very uncomfortable, (joint) , the shower was dirty also glass was not clean , wet tissue stuck on shelf ,door to veranda was restricted by table , dining table we were led to was peeled of varnish and not fit for purpose until resurfaced, there was napkins under leg to steady , there was an old extension lead to use toasters which was hot to the touch as it was servicing two toasters ,(not wound out ) very silly as a fire hazard . I was desperate to stay at Lion Quays after passing many times over the years , as it was my wife’s Birthday I thought it would be a lovely treat , unfortunately it wasn’t, in a beautiful building and location the standards need to be higher.

The spa area
The hotel didn’t look like the pictures at all the rooms were very basic we asked for a drink of water and the staff couldn’t help
Breakfast was good but
We object to having been asked to pay extra for porridge and pancakes
Porridge and pancakes included in breakfast
Last minute booking on way to Liverpool and Isle of Man TT. Ideal.
Great bar and evening meal.
Great breakfast.
Nothing.
Nice hotel food was amazing spa was amazing
Paid extra for a so called room with a view yet could only see a bush paid well over the odds and staff didn't care
The restaurant and the great size swimming pool which the children loved too
Nothing
The spa and leisure facilities were comfortable clean and overall lovely
The room had clothes and items from a previous guest, the bedsheets were put on incorrectly and the room wasn't as clean or kept in a standard you'd expect for upwards of £120 a night
