Amazing hotel, clean and spacious, kind stuff, amazing food.

Cons:

Not so much criticism as a heads up if you nerd to leave very early ask about the front door. II had to leave very early - and the
front door was fully closed and took 10 minutes to figure out how to open it.

Excellent place
Pros:

Excellent little place with a character. The room was spacious and clean. All essentials provided. Friendly and helpful staff. On site free parking. Food in restaurant was very good as well as breakfast, loads of options to choose from. Overall fantastic. Visited with my 2 elderly parents who were very pleased with the place.

Reasonable distance from Edinburgh (if you are driving).

Cons:

There is no bus stop or such if you want to get to Edinburgh. You have to drive there or take a taxi.

Staff not exactly friendly in the evening. I’d pre ordered a packed lunch to be left at reception for early departure but it wasn’t there.

Struttura carina e comoda ma non la consiglierei per il comportamento poco corretto

L ho comunicato alla struttura tempestivamente e mi hanno detto che mi avrebbero lasciato le
Chiavi in reception se fossi arrivata dopo le 21
Peccato che la porta della reception era chiusa e alle mie continue telefonate nessuno rispondeva
Tanto meno ai messaggi tramite Booking
Morale siamo stati in auto con un ragazzo disabile nel parcheggio fino all arrivo di un cliente alla 1 di notte
E la struttura non si è neanche degnata di rispondere porgendo il minimo delle scuse

Spacious room
Pros:

Both the room and the bathroom were huge.
Plenty of parking spaces in front of the hotel.
Central heating was not working but 2 electric radiators were provided. They did a great job, very useful and fast.
Staff was really nice.

Cons:

Towels smelled like unproperly dried clothes.
The room was very noisy, windows were very poor isolating both noises and cold.
Breakfast is barely decent. I “porridge” - it was just some water-boiled oats (no flavor, no spices, not creamy at all). Some poached eggs with grilled tomatoes (these were tasty - even though I am not really sure how can you mess up some eggs), a lot of toast (but it was cold). The food took a long time to come even though we were the only guests in the breakfast room at that time.

Pros:

een mooi oud hotel, sfeervol. Ruime kamer, schoon, ruime badkamer.

Cons:

Het matras was voor mij niet goed. ik voelde de metalen veringen erdoorheen.
we konden de douchekop helaas niet ophangen. Verder prima hotel voor deze prijs.

Pros:

Het personeel was heel vriendelijk en toegankelijk. Kamer was royaal en bed lag heerlijk. Eten was prima. Het hotel heeft heel veel potentie dat niet benut wordt. Jammer, want door de punten die hieronder beschreven staan als wat tegen viel, zullen wij dit hotel echt niet aanraden.

Cons:

Het hotel was vies!
Kamer: Schimmel in de douchecabine en langs de wastafel. Een niet goed afbehandelde schimmelplek boven het raam. De kraan lekte, de vloer kraakte en bewoog zo dat het raam daarvan klapperde.

De rest van het hotel: De trap lag vol met los vuil, maar ook ingetrapt vuil in het kleed. De eetzaalvloer pakte alsof er meerdere grote feesten gehouden waren. Viezigheid op de grond binnen en buiten lag er de dag erna nog. Het menu was te vies om vast te houden.

Tafeltje zo klein dat de toastjes op de zoetigheid gezet werd en je je bestek amper kwijt kon.
