I traveled with my husband and 2 year old. I am romanian so for me it was going back home. The hotel was lovely. All staff was very polite, friendly and eager to help out with any issues.
We found the pool area very nice and cozy for youngsters. There is a playground area adjacent to a shallow pool. There is a pool for adults too which we enjoyed very much. The bar prices for drinks are pretty steep. But then overall, traveling back to a childhood memory was very steep.
The entire experience in Mamaia was overpriced.
What i didnt like was that the hotel advertises a private beach, however we were expected to pay to stay near the water.
Being just 2 adults and a child, experiencing the water moments together was a challenge, as you don't want to leave your belongings unattended.
If you travel with kids, bring rubber/water shoes. The beach is "saulty" with shells and other unsanitary things.
The water is beautiful, shallow, some algae but not bothering.
We could hear music and a lot of street sound from our balcony, but we enjoyed it very much.
Couple extra nice features, the Gondola starts/ends within a 5 minute walk. And same with Aqua Magic. A walk away and its great for family fun
Hotel is nice. Parking is bad. The guard at to let you into the hotel parking lot is never there.Had to wait for him to let you in or out. Hotel is located into a complicated scheme of small narrow streets and is hard to get to it by car or park your car in the front door to check in.Front desk polite but not very friendly. No valet service. Breakfast very good. Restarant waiters polite but not friendly. Dinner was good. Very expensive hotel.
I feel that you don't get what you paid for especially for what they have to offer. Overated. !!!
Overall good attitude
The hotel is very nice. The location not so nice, surrounded by derelict hotels. Close to beach. Was disappointed the pool wasn’t open. Staff were very nice, especially the cleaning staff.
We arrived a few hours before check in and we were ablw to immediately go to our room. They had the double sofa bed already made up which we appreciated. The room was clean and had all the amenities you would need. The pool was clean and well sit
Great service and staff at the lounge & pool.
Poor service and staff at the breakfast restaurant.
Comfort can be improved by just having some soft pillows available.
Great location!
Nice hotel. Not worth the price.
We had two rooms booked (one suite - apartament - and the other a regular room); even though we arrived at noon and check-in was not available until 6pm, the suite was already ready and we were able to access it immediately. The other room became available around 2pm. The staff was excellent and always very helpful and they had good command of English. Great pool, good selection of food at the pool, there is access to a private beach area (which is a really big deal), the rooms were extremely comfortable and all linen and carpets, bathrooms extremely clean. Great location - close to Satul de Vacanta, which is a must if you have children. They also have guaranteed parking which again is a big deal if you are driving. The only reason I am not rating this hotel as totally excellent is because there were small hiccups such as the patio door was hard to figure out how to lock and was the safe. I would stay here again and, in fact, we are already planning to be back and would choose this hotel over any others.
Very good!
A too short stay(two days only) but very confortable and pleasant.
Not impressed
Problem is that the beach is not private as advertised and it is not with clean sand.
Breakfast should be ordered from the menu, instead of buffet.
On the check out they keep you at the desk while one of the employees is checking minibar even after you have told them what you have taken. This was quite rude, like they assume you're lying.
We were attending my son's wedding and the hotel was well located and comfortable and spacious.
Not too close to the beach(compared to other beachfront hotels but this was not a factor for us).
Well trained and pleasant staff who all spoke in English(not much English spoken in other parts of Constanta). Excellent food and facilities for wedding reception in the hotel.
This was my second stay at this hotel and I will stay there again on my next trip. The hotel is virtually although not directly on the beach - maybe 100m. It is not directly on the main street of Mamia and this is very nice. The rooms are large and spacious. I have stayed in one of their suites and paid less than or close to the amount I would pay for a regular room elsewhere. I had a small problem with my reservation this time - the room I had requested was not available until the next day. They put me in a comparable room and promptly moved me the next morning. Staff is friendly and courteous. Parking is a dream. I have no comment on the restaurant I did not eat there. POSSIBLE MAJOR NEGATIVE - Although I did not experience it, the fine print states that only registered guests are allowed in the room. I had 3 different friends come by during my 4 day stay and we always went to my room. If I had not been allowed to invite them to my room I would have checked out immediately and would never go back. The reason I always take a suite is so that I will have a place to receive and entertain guests. I only saw this fine print about 5 mins before writing this review.
I would like to share this experience so others are aware. We asked for a taxi to the Constanta airport at he hotel's front desk. The front desk arranged the taxi and we were told it would take approximately 40 minutes and it would cost 150 lei. When the cab arrived, he did not use his meter. The drive was less than 20 minutes. The cost was way too much as compared to other cab rides we took. This was confirmed by other Romanian travelers at the airport.
This modern, well-kept hotel is in a good position one block from the sea. However there were weddings on two of our three nights, with no attempt on the part of management to control the noise. On the second night the volume increased dramatically at 02.00 and continued until nearly 05.00. The reception staff seemed surprised when I suggested that an attempt should have been made to control the volume of noise.
the bed is to hard ... the breakfast is noy so good
Their are better hotels for the price bathroom had a smell to it
This hotel is a great value. Everything about it was more than I expected.
Modern hotel in Mamai, a couple minutes walk to the beach. Spacious rooms well furnished with great tub and lots of hot water. Expensive relative to other locations in Romania, but for the location, good value. Be sure to ask for room with softer mattress if you are not a fan of extra firm orthopedic mattresses. Reception staff very efficient and helpful.
