The huge room and bathroom and the air conditioning
The members of staff at arrival and check out were lovely.
The restaurant closes very early. The cocktail bar not being able to make some standard cocktails like an old fashioned
The breakfast was good but the only thing we all comment on was for the time of year the fruits should have been fresh, Not out of a tin :(
The location is very good.
The staff are lovey :)
There is limited parking . I booked the rooms as you had parking .
The main bar ladies loo's where not great. We came back in at 10.30 in the evening and there wasn't any loo paper in any of the loo's and no paper hand towels :(
Location
Friendly staff
Very expensive.. increased price as concerts in castle . Then you have additional charge for parking.
Paint work a little scruffy in passage way
The room was gorgeous
Sorry to say but some of the staff were a bit chaotic and didn’t have a clue
OK, plenty of choices, cooked breakfast could have been bigger.
Small portions, bit greasy.
Beautiful building with clean and tidy rooms
Nothing
Breakfast and dinner superb. Staff excellent
Very little actually
Very dog friendly, very welcoming staff in all areas, room really smart & despite the heatwave fans were strategically positioned all round the place to keep us cool. Love the history of the building too.
Not a complaint but the wobbly 17th century floor in the bedroom which makes you feel you've had one too many even when totally sober :-)
Breakfast cold options were fine but the hot buffet was cold & poor. Black pudding like cardboard, sausages left too long in dishes. Noticed some people being offered a breakfast menu for freshly cooked food such as eggs royale etc, but we weren’t offered this option
The whole cooked breakfast wasn’t worth the money. We ate in the restaurant for an evening meal & it was a complete letdown. The starter said it was fish cakes, and I only had one small one, it said smoked haddock & crab I couldn’t taste any smoked fish it was tasteless. They didn’t have the pie I ordered so I had to have something I didn’t really want. The chicken main was two very small pieces of chicken, dry & not really any sauce not worth £28.50.
Perfect location and an absolutely fantastic historic building.
nothing comes to mind
Nothing
Facilities, no air co only clapped out fan .
Room shabby and in need of a lot of tlc.
Towels not changed
Breakfast buffet cold except baked beans, uncovered meat, cheese, fruit in abundance.
Breakfast room was a disgrace. Not sufficient staff to clear away the tour parties.
The management was surprised that the tour buses would be eating at the same time.
Our reservation of 9.00 totally ignored. Left at 9.45 without even a cup of tea.
But for "good will " got a reduction in the bill in excess of £150 - one night accommodation and breakfasts.
Stay there again? No chance
Excellent location a stone's throw from Ludlow Castle. I had a suite and it was absolutely fantastic. Very pleased with my whole experience.
Very central! Fabulous old building! Spacious bedroom with plenty of teas & coffee and milk sachets even included oat milk! Nice toiletries!
The noise from the road as we were at the front of the building!
Being upgraded!
Staff were exceptional
Both dinners delicious
Breakfast buffet generous
There was a young man with decks on Sunday lunchtime in the courtyard. Didn’t enjoy the noise when I was looking for peace and quiet to read the paper.
Could do with cushions on the courtyard chairs fir added comfort.
Unfortunately, I stayed on a very hot day and the rooms are poorly ventilated. My overnight was extremely hot and I was not offered any opportunity to move room.
Too hot in the bedroom and because the windows needed to be open, it was very noisy from the street below.
