Location
Bed uncomfortable, and more of a corporate feeling, rather than a more friendly atmosphere
Friendly, helpful, very accommodating staff. Varied menu, food was excellent and plentiful.
Nothing
Excellent pub food. Its a very comfortable place in a lovely rural location close to the Northumberland national park. Its used by locals as well as overnight visitors.
Our room was fine but quite small. The bathroom was also small but OK, but could have done with at least one more towel rails. There was no.little bar of soap. Its an old pub, built in the 18th century, and unsurprisingly it has a lot of stairs - not a problem for us, but useful to know.
Lovely location. Staff excellent. Food very good.
A cosy pub / inn atmosphere which was quiet at night with little traffic to allow for a good night’s sleep
Bed was a bit uncomfortable, rooms and en suite are small and a bit dusty. It is a 300 year old building and is authentic with a broken window catch here and there.
Lovely staff and great food
Well located the Anglers Arms offered decent accommodation with great food, staff were excellent .
A wee bit dated, nothing to put you off or complain about, just needs a little TLC.
We had an excellent experience at the Angler’s Arms. Beautiful setting, very very good food and the accommodation is excellent value for money. Above all were the wonderful staff who were super friendly and welcoming yet professional.
Location, good service & food
Need of some refreshing
Room had everything we needed , very pleasant staff, excellent dinner and breakfast.
Being in the second floor was not easy for my wife and I.
Lovely location, fabulous staff, food amazing. Lovely complimentary toiletries.
The room however needed a little tlc, the bathroom door wouldn't close properly, no toilet roll holder, the smoke alarm was flashing all night and nobody around to check out so had to just leave the keys.
We were given a really warm welcome when we arrived, and shown to a lovely clean ,airy and bright room . Plenty of coffee/tea etc and water. Lovely fluffy towels too. Lots of storage too.
We'd booked a meal in the evening , which were the best Gluten Free fish and chips l'd ever eaten. The next morning l had Eggs Benedict( GF), and hubby had a full English. Really generous portions, plenty of toast, breakfast cereals, coffee,/tea to give you a good start to your day.
Easy to book a table for an evening meal, and all the meals we had were fabulous, and again, generous portions and really delicious.
Every member of staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We spent 6 very happy and comfortable days with them. We'd highly recommend to anyone to stay here.
Really great position to see all the local Castles and amazing beaches.
There wasn't much we didn't like to be honest. Slight irritation was the selection on the t.v. ,which was limited but we didn't watch it too much anyway. Too busy planning what were going to do the next day.
A lovely country inn full of charm, tucked away in a semi-rural position on the banks of the river.
The staff are a friendly team who made us feel most welcome.
Our top floor room was spacious with a large comfortable super king sized bed and attractive views but the stairs are steep which would not be suitable for those with mobility issues.
The menu choices are good and the meals well cooked and I can highly recommend the Eggs Benedict for breakfast.
Steep stairs to the top floor.
Lovely location
Although there had been some redecoration, there was a tiredness as well
Everything from start to finish! Great girly relaxing weekend!
Cant think of one thing!
