Excellent town centre location, with very helpful staff and great facilities.
Maybe rooms a bit warm, shower hot water difficult to tone down...and hot towel rails a bit close to wc pan.
Old world charm. Great staff, very good food in the restaurant.
The windows didn’t open so the room was very stuffy, probably due to the proximity of the road outside which is very noisy but there was a ceiling fan which did help.
The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Also friendly and approachable. The room was clean and very comfortable. I ate my evening meal there which was very good. Breakfast was also very good with a wide range of options. The establishment generally was well run and hospitable. I would stay there again, no question.
The only thing I wished was different was that I would've liked a thicker duvet. I wasn't cold as I left the radiator on, but my preference is to not have heating on overnight and to use a thicker duvet instead.
The hotel was easy to find, immaculately clean and had retained its historical character; the accommodation was quiet with a relaxing atmosphere. Our room overlooked the church and churchyard and had a strong shower and comfortable bed.The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this hotel.

The staff were polite, friendly, attentive and very well organized. The room was clean spacious and quiet (rm 16). Breakfast was great. We booked for evening meal and Sunday lunch too both were excellent. The location was just right as the Avon & Kennet Canal was about a 5 min walk away. There was no onsite parking however we parked about a 5 min walk away in the Wharf Carpark - parking charges for w/e were very reasonable. Our stay at the Castle Hotel was really good value.

Great location the staff are really great we’ve stayed here a few times and it’s always great to see Dave . The breakfast is lovely looking forward to our next visit in July on the scooters 🛵
Love the location when visiting family, the hotel feels familiar with friendly staff. I have always managed a space in the little coach house and feel welcome on arrival. I have stayed in various rooms but in 15 this time, super spacious and the bed was comfortable.

We had a great time staying here. Hotel was neat and tidy. Well modernised. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Very central to devizes. Lots of good pubs nearby. Really good experience, absolutely would go back.
The lack of parking on site was a slight pain but we parked at a pay and display a few minutes walk away which was £8 for a day. I get that for the location and age of the building it is what it is really.
