Set in a stately historical building, Bela Vista offers boutique accommodation on the cliffs of Praia da Rocha. Guests will enjoy the direct access to the beach area of this property, the first hotel of the Algarve Region.

Our stay at Hotel Bela Vista in Praia da Rocha was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality that made us feel truly special.
The hotel itself is absolutely stunning — a beautifully restored historic mansion that perfectly blends classic charm with modern luxury. Every detail, from the elegant décor to the breathtaking ocean views, creates an atmosphere of sophistication and tranquility.
The rooms are tastefully designed, extremely comfortable, and impeccably clean. The attention to detail is evident everywhere. The service deserves special recognition. The staff go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels cared for.
One of the absolute highlights of our stay was dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. The food was outstanding — beautifully presented, creative, and full of flavour. Each dish felt like a work of art, perfectly paired with excellent service and an incredible seaside setting.
Breakfast was another highlight — fresh, delicious and beautifully presented, Enjoying it with the ocean as a backdrop made it even more special.
The location is perfect: directly on Praia da Rocha, with easy access to the beach.

A place to stay and return in Portugal
Pros:

The most amazing beach hotel & luxury experience in the south of Portugal. Professional & very kind team, wonderful decoration and facilities (the pool area is outstanding) and the view to the beach is simply breath taking! Not to miss the experience at the VISTA Michelin restaurant!

A disappointing stay, especially considering that the Hotel da Rocha across the street offers a clearly superior experie
Pros:

Honestly, nothing stood out in a positive way. The overall experience did not meet expectations, and the hotel across the street (Hotel da Rocha) offers significantly better value and quality.

Cons:

The bathroom walls had visible cracks, and the shower head was broken and leaking. The bedroom light kept flickering and turning on and off by itself. The shower cubicle was extremely small and not suitable for anyone of average or larger build. I also felt that guests placed in rooms outside the main building were treated differently, and one staff member near the pool behaved in a way that came across as discriminatory. Overall, considering the issues and the experience, the price does not match the value, especially when compared with the hotel across the street.

An Exquisite Place
Pros:

An exquisite place to spend an afternoon on the terrace of this hotel — it truly deserves its Michelin star and its Relais & Châteaux title.
The service was excellent: attentive, warm, and highly professional, all in a peaceful setting with sea views. The dishes we tried were exquisite — full of flavor, elegantly presented, and perfectly balanced.

The fresh oysters were outstanding, the beef tenderloin was of superb quality, and every side dish complemented the main courses beautifully. The dessert was homemade, crafted with attention to detail, presentation, and decoration — absolutely perfect. Highly recommended.

Beautiful Oceanfront Spa and Pool Experience
Pros:

We stayed with friends at this beautiful resort. We enjoyed the food; both the Michelin Star dinner and the hotel restaurant were top notch. The pool was serene and easy to get a seat any time of day (we were slightly off season in October). We had some very awesome massages at the spa as well. Overall, we felt welcome and well cared for in this gorgeous resort. Only criticism is that the rooms are small / space is tight.

Pros:

I made this reservation through a third party, and although it was no fault of the hotel, I did not receive any pre arrival information. Consequently our arrival by car was a bit challenging because we required a code to get through a barrier to a pedestrian street. We also missed out on excursion information.

The hotel is beautiful and no detail has been overlooked. Our room in the blue house was a bit cramped but it was so aesthetically pleasing. The pool area is a well layed out, peaceful spot. We felt that service was inconsistent as some staff members were very helpful and accomadating, and others were less so.
