Nice hotel friendly staff
Yet to like anything
Dirty
Great location for events at Copdock Hall, excellent value and a good breakfast.
It’s a little tired and the shower was poor.
The room was spacious, clean and comfortable bed.
No air con and the room was incredibly hot.
They rely on self service check-in, the machine wasn't working and the staff member behind the desk did not seem to know how to search the bookings and check us in. It was 35 degrees in our room at midnight, the windows did not open fully. The bathroom was tired and shabby, water pressure low and there was no hot water.
We were able to check in to the hotel at a late time (11:30pm)
The rooms were unbelievably hot with poor ventilation, the bar staff had poor knowledge of how to make drinks, they were slow, the breakfast was bang average and overpriced
The room was lovely and big
We had no hot water in the morning so had cold shower also the plug in the washbasin didn’t work the water just drained away
It was a last minute booking on a cycle camping tour because the weather was foul! So location and price was key. Reception staff were exceptional and made space to bring my wet and muddy bicycle inside to dry off all my kit. Room was spacious and clean.
Just as a cyclist - location was more main road and better suited to car drivers. Very convenient however.
Lovely rear garden with access from bar.
The room had a kettle and tea bags.
The lack of modernisation
The pillow cases were stained
The bed sheets didn't fit the bed
There were dead bugs on the walls
The room and hotel was a throwback to the 70's akin to Fawlty Towers.
Even the music at breakfast was from the 70's.
The breakfast area had flies and they were sitting on the uncovered food.
The worktop are around the sink in the bathroom was heavily stained and the toilet had a very slow flush meaning you had to flush it a few times.
The showerhead was quite low and anyone over the height of 5'8 would struggle to stand under it.
Overall, it was a terrible experience. I wish I'd paid a few pounds more for the Travelodge up the road.
All
Nothing
The only fault was the shower even on the lowest setting was ridiculous hot to the point we had turn water to the absolute coldest setting which meant there was a tiny dribble coming out of shower head other than that absolutely can’t fault the stay!
Hot water/shower
Location Free Parking
No AC, ants everywhere, rooms and hotel looked worn out
Ok
Hotel is a bit tired.
