Ease of checking in and out. Excellent location for the town centre.
TV did not work but this didn’t impact our stay.
A good central location which made it walkable.
Dated with too many doors which were obstacles within. An old building revamped to some degree but some bits were very broken and damaged which undermined its quality.
Property was much nicer the the photos displayed. Very beautiful property inside
The bedroom was great it was very spacious. We only stayed one night and it was just what we wanted. It was central for a bit of sight seeing too.
It was a little noisy with a busy road outside. Also some noisy guests and pets.
the free parking is undeniably a plus, and the size of the room is great.
the hotel offers no food unlike showed on google pictures.
the hotel needs a lot of TLC, in the lobby near the lift, the wallpaper was coming off the wall. the floor at reception was sticky.
in my room there was a burnt mark of iron on the carpet, the showerroom was tiny. not managed to get the TV working.
Very clean hotel throughout and bed was very comfortable, rain shower was amazing, nice addition having a fridge in the room for our prosecco that we took with us, location is brilliant and car park was great even when we left for the day we still had a space when we returned, Mexican restaurant next-door is amazing and very good value for money 5*s definitely would book here again.

No fuss, good value, great staff
cleanliness, quite and comfortable
Friendly, professional staff, great room, very quiet, free car park outside, clean modern bathroom, fridge in room, excellent value abd a wonderful heritage building instead of a cookie cutter concrete block. Absolutely wonderful.
Nothing
The location was convenient. I was able to park - this was free of charge although I wasn't sure if this was because it was meant to be free or just because nobody could be bothered to take payment.
Oh my word. Wish I'd booked somewhere else. I booked because it was well located and had on site parking, and the rooms advertised online looked nice. My experience was completely different though. The decor is really tired - scratches and scuffs on all the doors and door frames, and wallpaper scratched and peeling in the halls. Think "Wakefield Tower of Terror" vibes. The room I got was nothing like what the website shows - very small with a tiny "bathroom". Again, the furniture was scratched and worn, and there were holes in the carpet. The problems started on the first morning when I was told that there wasn't any breakfast available despite this being advertised as included. That evening descended into farce. The fire alarm went off at 11pm. The night manager spent more time trying to turn it off than ensuring that guests were safe. He thought it was a false alarm but after it kept tripping he eventually started running around talking on his mobile phone while an agitated guest kept following him and yelling how she could smell smoke upstairs. Eventually the fire brigade arrived and we all shuffled outside. It was an eclectic mix of business visitors and semi-permanent residents (mainly druggies, alkies and assorted homeless people). It was like "Fawlty Towers meets Trainspotting". One guy was openly toking on a spliff in front of the firefighters. Almost no communication from the staff meanwhile. After an hour of the alarm going off constantly, the source of the alarm was found (in the linen room) and we were allowed back in at about midnight, cold and exhausted. The next morning, my complaints were met with sullen embarrassment from the daytime managers who barely apologised and didn't offer a refund or compensation. When I said it was the worst hotel I'd ever stayed in, they just shrugged their shoulders.
If I owned this place and Hell, I'd rent this place out and live in Hell.
It was near the station and only a short walk to the centre of town. The room itself was comfortable enough and was clean and tidy.
Reception only seemed to be open at odd times. Most of the time, there didn't seem to be anyone there. There are no real communal areas to wait or meet people, and there are no catering facilities at all, not even a vending machine.
Location great, lovely room and comfortable.
Only issue we had was controlling the temperature in the shower which meant we couldn't use it, was too hot.
