Interesting hotel with futons / mattresses on the floor - maybe not for everyone but fine for most. Shoes not allowed past reception and automatic checkout worked fine. Breakfast in hotel was good. Good value for money and ‘green’ hotel. Near the JR station and attractions.

This is a large hotel , many rooms overlook car parks. The rooms are normal size for Japanese Hotels. They are comfortable. The breakfast has the usual international buffet items. It took a bit of searching to find what I wanted to eat.
The hotel is centrally located as there is plenty to see and do in Takayama.

Our overnight stay here at Takayama, understand it is close to JR Station and to many restaurants too. The hotel is quite big with annexes and there’s a wonderful Gift shop that we managed to get T-shirt, snacks and gift souvenirs! The lobby is big and spacious too.
Not a new hotel but still serves well. Rooms are quite dated still using physical keys and separate hot and cold taps. Still basic amenities are available to make for a comfortable stay. The bonus will be the lovely onsens - one in basement of the East Wing we stayed, one at the other tower North Wing, outdoor style.
Dinner was at 3F Higashiyama Room and it was traditional Keisei style, very elaborate & exquisite totally 13 dishes. Breakfast was Japanese/Western style at another location, much varieties. Definitely an enjoyable dining experience.
The drive in pouch is equally large and some of us even walked down to venture out to the Lawson which is a brief 10 mins walk, to get some night snacks and stuff for our quick-fit at night! The hotel is within residential area so will be quiet at night.

We so enjoyed our stay at this hotel. An old-fashioned establishment where customer service still reigns supreme. It is an older hotel but is maintained well and has highly comfortable rooms and beds. The highlights are certainly the hot baths on the roof top. If I have any concern, the Wi-Fi was slow and patchy. We so enjoyed our 3-day stay here and would do so again in a flash.

Conveniently located a mere a 5-minute walk from Takayama Station and close to many restaurants. I've stayed here twice before and am never disappointed. The hotel features a gorgeous rooftop spa with mountain views plus a heated swimming pool (specifically North tower) plus a couple of dining options. Breakfast is an absolute treat with a selection of traditional Japanese foods plus Western options. Comfortable and clean. Helpful and friendly staff.

The hotel is a little dated and the rooms are small. Having said that, the beds are comfortable and the staff friendly, professional and accommodating.

There is some variation in the internal restaurants and the food was acceptable but not quite fine dining. It didn't pretend to be either.

Drinks and food are reasonably priced.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hida Hotel. I became a fan of onsen bathing during my trip to Japan and Hida had good facilities. It was convenient and comfortable. Service was excellent as was the breakfasts.

Very clean, with good Onsen experience. 5 min walk from JR train station and convenient to the old Quarter.

屋上にある温泉からの山の眺めが最高でした。朝食も地元の食材を豊富に使ったビュッフェが良かったです。立地も古い街並みから近く、また静かな場所にあり便利でした。エアコン設備が古いせいか、室温調整がうまくできないのがちょっと残念でした。弱風にしても、温度高めに設定しても寒かったです。

The room I felt was dated and could use some updating and maintenance.

Everything was good except one of our party got food poisoning from our breakfast at the hotel restaurant.

Lovely hotel with easy access to station and restaurants. Most helpful staff. Breakfast is excellent with great selection. Hot spring pools are excellent specifically top floor North building. Stayed here Nov 22 and delighted to be back.
