Hysterically historic, worth a side trip to experience
Pros:

Quirky, ancient, yet up to the minute plumbing, this hotel captures the essence of English B and B! What a find, we are still buzzing about the history and the hospitality, the breakfast and the black pudding 🙂

Cons:

Nothing,loved everything

Don’t stay here is you want a modern chic hotel, this is characterful and quaint
Pros:

This is a wonderful old hotel with its little quirks and characters. Absolutely charming and the breakfast is exceptional

Cons:

The only criticism I have is that there was a bit of a pongy loo brush and a couple of tears in the net curtain in our room

Pros:

The old building

Cons:

Sloping floors in the bathroom, not good when you're half asleep going to the bathroom in the middle of the night 😞

Lovely staff in a beautiful traditional building.
Pros:

Beautiful old building. Parking available. Friendly staff. Clean.

Cons:

Lots of steps, our room had a big step down into it. Pillows and mattress felt ready for replacement.

Especially like the wonky floors

If you want history and character it’s a great choice
Pros:

It is extremely historic and full of character. Great location and staff were very helpful.

Cons:

It was expensive for the facilities it has. Dinner service ended early (8pm) so we had to go out for food.

Great! Love this hotel.
Pros:

We had a wedding to get to and they let us check in early, no extra charge, so we could freshen up and get changed. Cheeky bottle of fizz in the bar before we went. Very friendly staff. Historic building, lots of history. Old fashioned, crooked floors, etc, all add to the charm. Breakfast was great, nothing fan, just good quality food.

Cons:

Honestly can’t think of anything!
