Fantastic property, modern inside, still full of charm. The beds were so comfortable, the TV had netflix, the bathroom had a real mirror light and our room was very spacious.
The lobby has a working fireplace. There is a cute outdoors space… our favorite hotel in Maine!
Special thank you to Kaia at the reception for accommodating an additional night for us and for going above and beyond!!
Nothing! It’s wonderful
The hotel has been beautifully remodeled exterior and most of the lobby as well. It is modern and smells wonderful.
I did not like the bathrooms. For a hotel like this to not have comfort height toilets and showers instead of
Bathtubs is completely unacceptable. I also did not enjoy the breakfast at all. Although the server was wonderful the quality of the food was not good.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is excellent—within walking distance of restaurants, coffee shops, etc. There's even a grocery store nearby, which was very convenient.
The room was exceptionally clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel also has a small fitness center. Although the elliptical machine wasn't working during my stay, I appreciated having the gym available.
Breakfast is available à la carte rather than being included, but there are also several great breakfast options nearby. Stop by Bohemian Coffeehouse for breakfast - you will not be sorry. Overall, an excellent place to stay.
We had such a lovely time. Everyone was friendly, the room was comfortable and even felt luxurious.
The breakfast is not included and while it was tasty, there is not much variety day to day.
Clean and friendly
Breakfast set up
Very clean and updated.
Nothing.
Although our family vacation started out a disaster with air travel delays that put us in an overnight stay, the hotel’s service has been outstanding. They have been incredibly responsive to requests and held the reservation for us despite us not being able to get there for the first night. I wanted to go out of my way to review the hotel precisely because of their service. The beds are comfortable, the town is adorable, and they are located in an ideal location right across the street from Amtrak and a bus station that has express busses going into Portland. Overall, just a fantastic stay.
Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a problem with the TV in our room that staff could not fix. They said they’d move us to another room. They did, but gave us an upgraded room and two drink vouchers for our inconvenience. It wasn’t necessary, but very much appreciated.
Bar shut down early, meaning we could not use the drink vouchers we were giving.
My experience at the Brunswick Hotel was comparable to anything I’ve experienced in New York City, not because it’s bigger than the Hyatt in the Big Apple but because they do everything well.
The food at the restaurant, the welcoming atmosphere created by the staff, which is reflected in the common areas, the cleanliness of my room, as well as every convenience and little gesture, all making me believe that they understand what I need as a traveller!
The only thing this location lacks is a quality chess table, board, and pieces!
Everything was wonderful about my two nights at the Brunswick Hotel. It's a two block walk to the Amtrak station (or just one block after you learn the secret entrance). The staff was very very helpful about giving me suggestions suitable to my "on foot" status. I really wanted a true Maine lobster dinner. Desk clerk Justin and manager Kate debated at length what my best option might be. After they ruled out some local favorites as "not walkable," Kate went to the hotel's chef (Noble Kitchen) and made arrangments for me to have lobster there (it's not on the menu). It was a WONDERFUL dinner; I appreciated it so much.
The hotel is really charming (rocking chairs on the porch), while very clean and modern. I even used the fitness center, not something I normally do while travelling.
This was my first trip to New England (self-created Amtrak tour of all the states), and Brunswick and the Brunswick Hotel were my favorites.
Everything.
Nothing.
We had to skip it because of a tour reservation in Bar Harbor.
I disliked nothing.
