Important information:

The hotel restaurant is now open and we serve Continental Breakfast Buffett for FREE of charge, daily from 9 a.m.-10 a.m.
Iris hotel does not do other meals then the Continental Breakfast.
Iris Hotel has a small Bar which is open from 11 a.m. -6 p.m. (for afternoon coffees/teas /cakes) and
18:00 p.m. until 22:00 p.m. (for alcohol drinks)

The property can provide an iron and ironing board on request only.
No cooked meals are available at the property.
Continental Breakfast is available free of charge.

Please note the lead guest must be 18 years and older. All guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

No Show Policy: In case of No Show , your reservation will be canceled and total amount will be charged . We advise you to pick up your room key within the time required on your booking: 15:00 p.m.-20:00 p.m.

Guests are welcome to leave their bags with the property if arriving before 12:00. Early check-in or late check out fees may apply. Please contact the property for more details.

The property charges an additional GBP 10 for bookings with one child under 12 years, provided the child uses existing beds. This amount will be automatically charged from the card provided at the time of booking.

Please note that extra beds cannot be accommodated in the rooms. A travel cot can be provided on request only.

A elevator is available in the hotel but cannot accommodate mobility scooters, wheelchairs or push chairs. The Annex building does not have a elevator. As such, this property is not recommended for guests with mobility issues.

Parking is available along the Promenade, with no charges from 16:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Iris Hotel
Pros:

The price , the shower, friendly staff and the simple free breakfast. Very clean . No complaints .

Cons:

The heating in the room, far too hot and unable to turn it off. Don't expect luxury , simple ,basic but so is the price . Cupboard door not working, furniture peeling .

Pros:

Location was great.
Room was good once it was cleaned. Comfy beds. Shower was great, it even came out the side of the shower head. Staff seemed nice, laid back.

Cons:

The communication or urgency from staff. Our room had been broken into at 12.30am.
Luckily we were out. We came back and thought were they that desperate to clean the room that they broke in. (Our room was not ready when we arrived but they were doing it while we were out)
The next day we asked what happened and it first it was the key didn't work then later on it was somone put it in around 12.30am. A guest had to phone the police.
This was after they asked us what time did we get in at!
They asked if we wanted it cleaned up, the wood, splinters and bits.
When we were leaving for food(we stayed 2 nights) we asked for the lock to be fixed and yes it did get fixed by the time we got back but I found the whole situation strange.
Noone apologised or offered a change of room or any further information.

AWFUL SMELLY HOTEL. STAY ELSEWHERE.

LOCATION ON THE SEA FRONT IS GOOD AND EASY TO GET TO THE SHOPS BARS ETC

ROOM STUNK OF DAMP OR DIRTY CARPETS COULDNT DECIDE WHICH IT WAS WINDOWS WERE SCREWED SHUT SO COULDN'T LET ANY FRESH AIR IN. TV DIDNT WORK AS THERE WERE NO CHANNELS INSTALLED AND THE REMOTE DIDNT WORK TO DO IT.
SHOWER DOOR WAS BROKEN. ROOM WAS VERY COLD AND THE BATHROOM HAS NO HEATING IN IT AT ALL, WE WERE ONLY THERE FOR ONE NIGHT AND HAD WE BOOKED IT FOR LONGER WE WOULD HAVE GONE HOME INSTEAD.
ANYONE WHO STAYS HERE WOULD SURELY NEVER STAY AGAIN.
DUE TO THE SMELL OF THE PLACE WE CHOSE NOT TO EAT OUR BREAKFAST HERE SO CAN'T COMMENT ON THAT.
