Comfortable room
Bit noisy
Schönes Hotel mit Charakter! Wir haben sehr interessante Informationen über das Gespenst erhalten, das hier wohnt, aber zum Glück nicht in unserem Zimmer herumgespukt hat. 😉
Die Unterkunft hat uns sehr gefallen. Wunderschön, sauber und mitten in der Natur.
Fantastic location with lovely views and walks from the door. Huge garden with ample seating and never a problem to park the car. Excellent breakfast selection and lovely light and airy restaurant!
Our room was quite small and expensive considering - but that wouldn’t stop us staying again.
We enjoy casual fossil hunting on Rodborough common, an old childhood interest.
What about providing a simple map or what can be found and where to find local fossils.
I think you would find a lot of interest, especially for children.
You are sitting on a fantastic visitor atraction.
Wild flowers too, including orchids.
Minor matter.
You need to add a handle to the wall to assist in getting out of the bath after taking a shower.
Beautiful old building in a hilltop village overlooking Stroud. Lovely, well laid out room with a comfy bed. Lots of attention to detail. Significantly cheaper than most comparable places in this area.
Some aspects are a little tired, but they’re doing their best with a very elderly building. The plumbing - heating and water - were noisy.
Clean and great breakfast
Right next to busy road. Very noisy traffic from 6am
Staff friendly, facilities good
House keeping was very poor one day. Reception staff had no authority to deal with the issue, they suggested we wait for the manager who was running the London marathon!!
Dining room VERY noisy when fully occupied. Need sound reverberation work undertaken to make it more 'romantic' so you can hear your partner speak!
Location was amazing and beds super comfy! Quirky building, amazing food, plenty of parking, staff friendly and happy!
Location. Character. Friendly and relaxed
Sometimes not available and someone gets expensive
Lovely decorations comfy bed
Friendly staff
Excellent meals
Room was lovely, location was great and food was excellent.
There was a crack in the sink of the room we were staying in.
Excellent petit déjeuner. Bel hôtel.
Every hotel should have a receptionist like Nicky !!
It was in an ideal location for us.
The whole hotel is tired. It was clean but stained wall paper, mould under dark grout and the rooms and dining room were cold. Our party of 7 ate in the restaurant and we thought the food average, expensive and in my case cold. The bed was really hard although my husband liked it and the pillows were good.
Excellently situated and beautifully presented hotel. Staff are professional, positive and clearly proud of what they do. Only stayed one night but would be very happy to return.
Evening meal in the hotel bar was really good but breakfast was inconsistent. The breakfast bar was excellent: really good choices and well presented. My cooked offering was disappointing: hard poached eggs and rock hard sourdough. My wife described her full English as just OK. Nothing special. The buffet provided that afternoon for a special event was outstanding.
