Location great, friendly staff and nice room
The noisy karaoke on the street below through the night
The location was excellent and breakfast was good and a range of options.
Our room 307 was so hot throughout the evening and night. I asked the receptionist 3 different times for this to be sorted and it wasn’t which was very frustrating.
The soap in our room was water put into one of the bottle which wasn’t great.
Great location
First time stopping here
Stopped at a few other hotels.in cardiff in the past ,thought I would.give this a go Poor service extremely small room air-conditioning just about kept the room around 20 degrees. Disco lights in the room
Staff hardly spoke after check in . No one explained breakfast on check in . We had to wait like school children until exactly 3pm to check in . Bar poorly stocked .
Het ontbijt was gevarieerd en lekker
de kamer was ruim, maar vrij donker, door de kleine ramen op de zolderverdieping.
Very good location.
Staff were helpful
Discount for parking at local NCP parking
Very warm in the room even with air conditioning turned to lowest
Breakfast was poor with limited range
Friendly helpful staff. Central location
Air con wasn’t working well enough for the heat
Staff excellent, room great size. and comfortabke, good entertainment, lifts to all rooms, trip to lake district in luded in price. All good.
All goof
Central location parking available close by
Lifts was odd either walk up 5 flights stairs to reception or down 6 steps to lift. Then after reception you walk the other end for another lift to take you to bedrooms.
It was right in the middle of Cardiff. Close to Tesco Express, Sainsbury’s and some fast food chains like Taco Bell, Mcdonald’s, Dave’s Hot Chicken. It wasn’t too noisy on floor three!
Maybe it was just our room but it seemed like there might’ve been a leak in the shower or toilet? Again, it could’ve been us not turning a tap off properly but the floor got quite wet at the shower. Other than that it was great!
The room was quiet which was a bonus as we were in the city centre. Good shower. Good breakfast if not a little cold.
Everything was not 100% clean mud marks on door frame in bathroom, sticky floors, filthy windows on out side.
Central and within walking distance of train station castle and shopping
Everything
Stairs
I thought it hotel was great, ideal location, clean rooms and staff were super helpful. Aircon was great especially in 33oC heat. Hotel close to all of Cardiffs main sites and easy to park at NCP.
Slightly sticky floors in room… possibly due to the extreme heat and cleaner they use?
Positively, they were clean
Very good location with really comfortable bed and good shower. Staff were friendly and check in / check out was very quick and easy.
The floor of the room was very sticky and needs a proper clean. This was really quite unpleasant which is a shame, as everything else about our stay was great.
I only stayed here for one night, but the location is excellent. It is very close to the train station, which was the main reason I chose this hotel. Another thing I liked was the building itself – it has a lot of character and a charming historic appearance.
The room is quite small, so it feels a little expensive for its size. However, the excellent location makes it worth the price.
As the property appears to be a historic building, there are many fire doors inside that you constantly need to push open. There are also quite a few short flights of stairs throughout the building, so you'll find yourself going up and down frequently. If you have heavy luggage, it can definitely leave you out of breath. That's probably the only downside to an otherwise enjoyable stay.
