Beautiful location.
Friendly staff.
Fantastic food.

Cons:

TV didn't work unfortunately, the staff were unable to sort before we left but it didn't spoil our stay.

Nice hotel in great location, plenty of walks to explore Borrowdale from the door.
Pros:

Great location. A decent breakfast, but choice was a little limited if you didn't want a cooked breakfast. Toast from sliced bread not good enough for a hotel of this class. Evening meal excellent.

Cons:

Nothing much, apart from comments above on the breakfast.

Relaxing, peaceful and quant
Pros:

Setting. Peaceful. Old fashioned hotel but modern facilities - the bathroom was fab

Cons:

We got a good deal in February but the prices go up drastically in Soring and further

Very lovely location and atmosphere, brought down by average food and slow service.
Pros:

Overall the location was just close enough to the main towns and attractions which we visited the Lodore Falls, well worth the visit. The room was really nice and comfortable and suitable located, bed and was comfortable and quiet.

Cons:

By far the biggest disappointment was the average food for the price and terribly slow service. Fundamentally the food was nothing special but was presented very nicely which took far too long. The menu didnt include a vegetation option also quite poor was not being asked about any allergies for the entirety of our duration for dinner and breakfast. Unless you were strapped down for the night I would recommend eating out.

Pros:

10/10 best place we’ve stayed in the lakes! Cannot recommend this place enough, superb location tucked away but still close enough to Keswick!
Staff were super friendly!
Extremely peaceful, lots of local places to go for a walk, also the scenery is picturesque.
Honestly a great place to de stress!
Fantastic facilities, our room was absolutely gorgeous. Clean and comfortable, literally so quiet had a lovely night sleep. The view from our room was breathtaking! We will be visiting again soon and definitely recommending to friends and family! Thankyou!!

Cons:

Breakfast was a little on the pricey side at £19+ per person, but we just went to a local cafe instead. Absolutely not an issue to us but I’m sure it would be lovely as the restaurant looked amazing!

Lovely hotel with beautiful rooms
Pros:

The room was decorated beautifully, the bar and lounge areas were also stylish

Cons:

There wasn’t any atmosphere in the bar area and even before last orders (10.30pm), we felt a bit awkward as if the staff were trying to close up and wanted us to leave

Picturesc, peaceful, beautiful food and scenery! Perfect for a relaxing break away from noise!
Pros:

Everything was first class

Cons:

Loved everything, the only thing I needed was air con, but that was purely down to the fact it was the hottest night of the year and was super humid. So, I can see why it's not a necessity given the lack of year round heat in the UK

Very enjoyable.
Pros:

Having stayed at this hotel many times over 20yrs I already knew the standard would be good.

Cons:

At one time children under 16 were not allowed in the restaurant after 6pm so that other diners could have a quiet and relaxing evening meal. However it was half term and so perhaps it was to be expected.

Absolute gem of a place , couldn’t fault it . So worth every penny

The food was incredible , whoever the chef is needs a raise!!

I have never stayed in a more beautiful hotel, and the setting is so peaceful

very expensive for the meals and breakfast. We paid £50 each for 2 course and we were still hungry afterwards. Drinks very expensive and not much atmosphere
