Very picturesque hotel in a lovely location. Tasty food and friendly staff. Very comfy bed. Super party venue in the barn.
Unfortunately the room felt overpriced. The downstairs access door was very stiff, so whenever it was opened the bedroom door rattled very loudly which was a shame. The conditioner was so watered down it was hard to use! Not what I expected for £260 a night but we still had a lovely time.
Beautiful property with a great team. Rooms are lovely with everything you need for your stay. Lovely welcome card was a really nice touch in the room.
This is a very well run hotel. We have stayed a number of times and never disappointed. Staff are a helpful and friendly
Nothing really although missed a full length Milton in room.

Love the location and got the specific room i requested... it's quiet and spacious with fab views. Staff are always very pleasant and welcoming. Thankfully no parties or large groups staying so was a very relaxing stay.
Feel the prices are too high.. been visiting there a long time and with all the changes, just feel its overpriced but guess its the same everywhere. We stay as its close to family and a handy stopover.
Staff are friendly. I liked the area and surrounding fields. Inside the decor is nice, some rooms have cosy fires and the Orangery is lovely. Food was very nice, although I thought expensive. A welcome drink and night cap are a nice touch.
The room was small: described as 'classic', it did not compare with the images on the website. There was only just enough room to walk around the bed. There was nowhere to put down a bag that you wouldn't fall over it. I put mine in the deep window sill, but difficult to get to once the blind is down. The dressing table is also the desk and tea point, again nowhere to put anything else. No shelf in the bathroom but there is a little space beside the sink. Noise from other rooms is noticeable but not loud.
Really nice location
On the main page of booking.com it advertises a pool but unless you look at the detail it isn’t obvious you have to pay for the pool access which was disappointing
Very welcoming, comfortable room.
We stayed two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was very clean, tasteful deco and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were very welcoming.
Perhaps there could have been more hangers in the wardrobe and we had to call the waitress over to take our order for breakfast on both mornings as we had been waiting a while. Otherwise it was great!
Good food helppful staff
Very few gluton free options. Kitchen could not adapt food as promised/
The large breakfast room, the modern interior of an old building. Our bedroom was large and well appointed.
I did not find any we did not like
very comfortable bed and a well equipped bathroom
the lamps were nigh impossible to switch on/off
