Central, Clean, Friendly helpful staff
It was a wee bit tired, bedroom carpets very old and tired, bathrooms perhaps a little updating required
Location and price
The garbage truck noise out the window.
Good location. Nice staff.
Bedroom large. Good breakfast.
No night staff, poor security. Common areas are not clean. Vacuum the lift and hallways! Room seemed clean.
Couldn’t open windows in room. Expensive for what you get but maybe that’s Adelaide.
Close to everything and they are pet friendly
It was all good
Loved the old style building!
The bathroom was a bit mouldy - ok for 1 night but it really needs a good clean!
The room was cozy and elegant with warm environment, making the long stay a wonderful experience.
Staff and service - I felt looked after well.
Lift not occasionally working.
Small, not pompous, nice building, near facilities
No balcony, room dark
We had an extremely disappointing stay at the Adabco Hotel. As it’s listed as part of the Accor group, and being a Gold member, we were genuinely excited to stay at an Accor property—unfortunately, that excitement was very short-lived.
Check-in was unwelcoming. The receptionist was unfriendly, took payment, and handed over the room keys with no explanation or warmth. When I asked about a welcome drink, I was told this wasn’t offered because there is no restaurant or bar on site—only a vending machine for soft drinks—despite alcohol being available for purchase at reception.
We were charged an additional $80 for our dog, along with a standard room deposit. Upon entering the room, I was extremely disappointed. It was dark and dull, with visibly ripped carpet and a very tired feel overall.
The Accor website advertises a pool, which was a key reason we chose this hotel given how hot Adelaide was—but there is no pool at this property, restaurant or Foxtel tv as listed.
On our second day, I requested the room be cleaned. Despite raising this request daily at reception and with the manager, for three consecutive days we returned to find the room untouched. Each time, we were told there must have been a “communication issue” and advised that if we wanted clean towels, we could collect them from reception ourselves.
We had booked for six nights but ended up checking out early because I simply couldn’t tolerate another night. As our stay was over New Year, it was far from cheap.
This property feels more like a hostel than a hotel, and Accor should be ashamed to list it as a 4-star boutique hotel.
Great location in a beautiful old building. Very peaceful. Room was large, had everything we needed and a very comfortable bed.
The front desk staff gave instructions, were courteous, and made me feel welcomed.
The mattress was really loose, like I was being dragged to the middle. Sleep was good tho, but I personally like a firmer mattress.
