Wonderful place a little bit of the main route en Périgord Sarlat etc. but very authentic and quiet.
Hotel de charme with good, nice rooms and very nice and very friendly proprietors.
Belves is a beautiful medieval village, and Clement V a great place to stay.
The owners were very welcoming, friendly and accommodating.
We stayed for 2 nights whilst attending a wedding nearby, and as we were unlucky with the weather, they allowed us to borrow an umbrella, and also gave help with the best place to park in Belves with the local weekend markets going on at the same time.
It would have been nice to be offered a cooked breakfast, as I felt 12.70 Euros per person to be erring on the expensive side for a selection of yoghurts and pastries.
Small but friendly hotel in the centre of a medieval village. Set in a very narrow street yet unaffected by noise, while the room did not enjoy a view per se, opening the Juliet balcony allowed you a great insight into the heart of French village life. The room was well appointed, scrupulously cleaned and maintained.Muriel the owner/manager was extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed for four nights and would recommend it to anyone. Parking was in a free public car park three minutes walk away.
The hotel is well appointed, the rooms large, and the Proprietor, who spoke excellent English, was very helpful. The room we had, admittedly the cheapest option, had a strange layout, with the toilet across a small double bed from the rest of the bath. Worst of all, there was only a tub, 3 feet off the floor, with a handheld shower nozzle-- which is hard for an older couple. Also, the location was many long, winding, 2-lane roads from most of the sights you come to the Perigord to see. As we had booked on Expedia, there was no option for changing of hotels without the loss of our advance payment.
Loved it, real quality and authentic French style and the owner was fantastic really friendly and helpful.
