Samara Hotel

The staff got my booking info incorrectly and they were not accommodating at all. I had a daily water limit of 2 small bottles for 3 people and they wouldnt provide more. Third person slept in the ground because they didn’t want to give us what we booked. Room clean up was done only 1 in 4 days. There were cockroaches which i noticed the last day of our stay and i didnt bother even saying anything.

There was roach in the bathroom and front desk did not do anything about it.

Very convenient everything available nearby.

Some of room facilities need to be fixed

Central location, multiple good restaurants within walking distance. Front desk helpful e.g. arranging car service for a stop at the Grand Mosque enroute to the airport. However delays due to understaffing - manager is always busy.

toiletries were poor, towels minimum, clean linen though, no tea/coffee or kettle provided in room, wifi was good though.

Should invest in bedside lamps:-)

The best part about this hotel was its location to the Al Zawawi Mosque and the Muscat Bakery. Otherwise it was nothing special. A taxi from the airport should cost around 8-9 OMR. The hallways were always smoke filled, and even though there were two of us staying in the room, they would only provide one free water. The room was clean, and the hotel was near the major road which takes you to all places in Muscat. There are hundreds of Baisa buses that pass by and the "once every 15-30 minutes" number 1 city bus that stops near the pedestrian overpass beside the mosque. There are also many, many food places around the hotel, some cheap, some expensive.

Obwohl wir ein Nichtraucherzimmer gebucht hatten, hat es tagsüber im Bad ununterbrochen nach Rauch gerochen. Am späten Abend und teilweise nachts, wurden auf dem Flur die Türen laut zuschlagen lassen, so dass man jedes Mal kerzengerade in Bett saß. Praktisch ist der große Supermarkt um die Ecke

It was good and comfortable for the stay

Easy access by walk to restaurants, grocery shops, shopping center, mosque and ATM. WIFI at room are not good enough, need to work on that. Overall, it is a very good hotel.

This is a small hotel conveniently located near to the Sultan Qaboos highway in Alkhwair, Muscat, near to the Ministry offices. There are a lot of restaurants and shops in and around the hotel. Overall a pleasant stay. Good budget hotel.

Very basic. Stingy on water bottle supplies.

Nice location close to airport and easy to find. For an one night trip is quite cost effective.

A quiet, friendly hotel, nice coffee shops in same building, pleasant and interesting neighbourhood, plenty of parking on street nearby. Wonderful Al-Zawawi Mosque just opposite.

Hôtel proche des commerces et des restaurants.
Quartier animé et facile d'accès, à mi chemin entre l'aéroport et Matrah.
Ils ont voulu me faire payer le lit d'appoint alors que j'avais précisé que je voyageait avec un enfant en bas Age.
pour un très court séjour ok sinon allez voir ailleurs.
En tout cas ne mérite sûrement pas le prix demandé.

Clean, nice. Showers were good. Location is just ok

Je suppose que pour Muscate, c'est un hôtel abordable, avec le minimum pour dormir.
N'en n attendez pas trop, vous ne serez pas déçu.
Très belle mosqué juste a coté.
