Wouldn’t stay there again. As we are travelling the garden view room was very misleading .

I would stay again. Staff were helpful, happy to see you and overall very pleasant.

Out of touch with modern practices

In fairness the food we had for dinner was delicious.

Cons:

Firstly . My friend and I are Coeliacs, which is not a choice , it’s an autoimmune disease.

My friend placed their order for an eggs Benedict where the waiter (not the one of concern) confirmed with me that I was a coeliac and went and checked with the kitchen that it could be done gluten free. He came back and said it was all good. I paid for my food and drinks and sat down. Some time later, an older gentleman with grey hair  came up to me at the table and stated that they can’t do the hollandaise sauce gluten free. I asked if I can change my order as I didn’t want the meal without the sauce, which I didn’t feel was an unreasonable request. He said ‘no you can’t change it’. He then proceeded to say he doesn’t know what I can have and said I should know what I can have and asked what is gluten free in the kitchen. At this point I was shocked and said I didn’t know what ingredients were used in this kitchen. He then asked if I could change it what would I change it to, I said the omelette. He then asked if I knew they had to shut down the kitchen for me and I said I didn’t know what the processes were here. He then said he will see if he can change it. He then came back and said they could do the omelette for me and stated that they can’t guarantee no gluten due to cross-contamination, I said I was aware of cross-contamination and how it worked. When I got my omelette it did not have the gluten free bread but at this point I didn’t want to be lectured and made to feel like a burden by the waiter so I didn’t say anything.

Unfortunately this property is not customer friendly.
Checkin took unusually long even though there weren’t any other customers and we had pre booked. The lady behind the reception was either learning or just didn’t care to be efficient and friendly.
We received several text messages prior and after booking in reminding us not to vape or smoke on the property. We had no intention of doing either.

Rozczarowujący hotel w St Helens

Piękny widok na jezioro
Duży pokój i spora łazienka, widać, że obiekt jest wyremontowany

Cons:

Śniadanie miało być zawarte w cenie obiektu, niestety na miejscu dostaliśmy jedynie vouchery na 28 AUD od osoby. Kawa kosztuje 6 AUD, a jajka po benedyktyńsku 24 AUD. Dodatkowo obsługa dolicza sobie procent i w ten sposób nie da się uniknąć dopłaty. To istny obłęd!! I muszę przyznać, że porcja była mała i wcale się nie najadłam.
Do tego obsługa nie była zbyt miła. Chcieliśmy zjeść kolację w hotelu, ale konieczna była rezerwacja. Przed przyjazdem napisałam wiadomość na booking, ale nikt mi nie odpisał. Na miejscu okazało się, że w godzinach, które nas interesowały, nie było już wolnych stolików. Porażka

Pleasant stay and would stay again if in the area.

Close walk to town. Room was large and clean great views. Restaurant served delicious food and drinks.

A pleasant stay for the night.
Pros:

Great location. Spacious bedroom and very comfortable bed. Spa bath which was unexpected.

Cons:

The restaurant was very casual and had a strange choice of meals. A buffet breakfast would have been better than having to order off a menu.
