I would not stay there again or recommend it to anyone else.
Pros:

The location was close to a number of restaurants.

Cons:

The bathroom was very small, the toilet too low, and the sink/vanity area was too small.
The bed was very uncomfortable.

Exceeded my expectation
Pros:

Staff was kind and room was clean.
Good location, no issues. For this category in Madison, it was much better than others.

Cons:

The pool's under construction and they could replace the dead plants in the open areas. That would definitely go a long way.

It might be worth the price when rates are not raised for a special event.
Pros:

The front desk and housekeeping staff were very nice. We had a quiet, comfortable room. Our car was not broken into, though the property looked pretty rough.

Cons:

Prices everywhere in the area were inflated because it was graduation weekend at the University. The only reasonably-priced place we could find near the Dane County airport was this motel in Sun Prairie. Fortunately, it was not far from Madison at all. But it was overpriced for the facility due to the busy weekend. Maybe when prices are normal, it would be a decent value. But the exterior of the motel is really rough right now, with torn-up asphalt, gravel parking, etc.

We checked out after a couple of hours...
Pros:

Decent location, near a lot of stores and restaurants

Cons:

Very run down and outdated. The mini fridge and the air conditioner didn't get cold, there was a ball of hair on the "clean" shower floor. The room had a weird smell. Parking lot was pretty busted up

Looks horrible from the outside but newer section was well maintained
Pros:

Clean linens. Friendly housekeeping

Cons:

Strong cleaner or air freshener smell in the room. Outside looks like a crack house. Toilet couldn’t flush a square of toilet paper down the pipes.

Cheap, comfortable, and quiet but staff need some training on dealing with their customers
Pros:

The bed was very comfortable. It was a safe quiet area and we got a decent night of sleep.

Cons:

The staff that was working in the morning clearly is not a morning person. I ran out to grab breakfast and left my companion in our room since he was still sleeping. While I was gone he woke up and had no memory (we had a really awesome night out which is what led us to this place to safely sleep it off) of where we ended up after we left the bar and went to the front office to see if they could tell him where he was and what not only to be met with someone who seemed to have no interest in helping him. They mentioned that they were just starting their shift with no additional information. My friend was literally having a panic attack since he had no way of getting the information himself since his phone was in my car. By time I arrived, I was told to get him off the property and never bring him back. All because a scared 20 something yelled while panicking. We will skip this place next time we need a place to sleep it off.
